The Guardians of Humanity are basically a more realistic SCP Foundation. Their staff are not emotionless robots, and they don't have infinite resources to pull out of their asses.

There is a old game from wen I was a teenager its called "killing time" it has a great story to it and the game really scared me back then even if the graphics are bad in today's standards ...I wish they would reboot the game with our current graphics

Headcanon: The facility fell into ruin because people were too distracted by Dr J's J Cups.

The moral dilemma of this game kind of reminds me of "Dark Souls" and the conflict between the Age of Fire vs the Age of Dark. In a way, the conflict here is similar. The "Guardians of Humanity" are like Gwyn trying to resist the coming darkness, but in the process causing a great deal of pain and misery. However much like in Dark Souls the coming Darkness is merely the natural progression of things. I've always considered the Great Old Ones from Lovecraft's mythos to be allegories for primordial chaos; the same chaos that shaped the universe. They are metaphors for great change, and in that sense the chaos they bring is a natural inevitability. You can't stop something that's inevitable; just delay it, but if the act of delaying it causes unnecessary harm than what good is there in delaying it. Perhaps it's better to let all of humanity die in one fell swoop than dragging it out in the most painful way possible.

This is a really fantastic game with an fascinating and intriguing story,all in all awesome explanation of Savior The Abyss GamerSault

If by less evil u mean less powerful then Cthulhu is the lesser one. U can stop it permanently in any reality of game u wish by simple leaving then freezed in time for ever, u can load and undo whatever would bring them back as u wish. U are the one who decides their fate too

Yeah, the Guardians and the Foundation definitely give off the same "lesser evil for the greater good" vibes. The difference between them is that the Guardians seem like a far more recent/modern institution that are mostly conventional except in regards to the specific Lovecraftian threats they are facing, whereas the Foundation has existed for up to centuries and has a lot more resources and assets and just experience. If the Foundation were in control, they would use D-class instead of experimenting on kidnapped kids or use one of their SCPS that creates a bunch of people every set amount of time or something.

I feel like that conflict would have happened without the player. So player takes control of an escalating conflict. Wed decides on a verdict after playing through all scenarios. I feel more like we are more of a celestial judge than a god. We have limits to how much we can shape that would.
