Saving This Conqueror Mk.2 Shelf Queen - By Destroying It! (Dragon 1/35)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

My friends, tonight we're finishing a 5-year-old shelf queen that's been taking up space in my stash... and by finishing I mean destroying it!

@@NightShiftScaleModels Yes and it must be the (dreaded) Panzerkampfwagen V Panther Ausf. A (MM165) to see if even you can fix that piece of horror... Styrene and sheet metal scratch building is allowed, or more precise, required! :P Bonus is that it's so cheap it's almost nothing but it's the kit that has singlehandedly made the most first scale model builders to quit the hobby in less than one hour due to the shady quality?! I've tried three times, as an exercise, to fix the kit but they never even ended up in the corner of shame and instead went straight in the bin... I'm more than happy to buy the kit for you just to see you attack it! It will generate a lot of content for you since there's so much room for fixing it so it's a real winner winner from that point of view! ;) If you do this I promise I will attempt it the fourth time and not send it to the bin before finishing it - and I will send photos as proof doing it! This I'd love to see you having a go at but you can't be angry with me after started it... ;)

I'd love to see a someone build and modify an old Monogram Armor kit in a Homage to the Late Shepard Paine...his pack in leaflets with Monogram kits were what inspired me as a kid. Another idea I'd love to see is maybe do a diorama on the book Devils of D-day by Graham Masterton. A spooky tale about a Demonic Sherman tank...and with Halloween just around the corner...

Conqueror was my love in World of Tanks. Such a nice tank in all means and purposes, had extreme amount of satisfaction from it. Design wise, I really love how it looks. It's something in between atomic age and industrial age design, like best of previous age and some cool stuff from next age. glad to see you working on it, really love this tank.

What’s the next for you Uncle Nighty?? The same ol round of figuring out the subject, buying all the parts, starting the build, finishing, recoding. I serious, I go through the same thing on a smaller level. What’s the next pathway of enjoyment and learning for a master modeler. You don’t call yourself a figure paint but we all believe your figures are incredible. What’s more is your always developing and experimenting with new techniques. Your armor modeling is spot on and always fresh. What is the next chapter in Uncles modeling experience? Love your channel, the sense of humor, your skills, and work. Best wishes!!!

I had the privilege in 2020 of working on the restoration of one of these brutes, which was itself a gate guard in a sorry state, [similar to those range targets] so the Conq has a special place in my heart. Nice work. If you're planning on adding the side stowage bins, do note that on the real tank, they're made of aluminium so they didn't rust like the fenders/mudguards did [those were completely full of holes.] Also, there were inexplicable bullet-sized, but non-penetrating dents in said aluminium stowage bins, presumably from blanks/airsoft/some other kind of weak projectile. Maybe you could include something like that in the final model, though at this stage it's probably too late. I am thoroughly impressed by those details on the gun mantlet's dust cover mounts.

May I recommend the "Abandoned supra of the mountain" for one of your dioramas? There is a modified MK3 Toyota Supra that was evidently crashed off a mountain road by a youth driving enthusiastically in Japan. The car was subsequently abandoned, and is still there 30 years later. Noriyaro has a video of the car in it's current state for reference.
