Saving the Dwarf Mountain Pine: a Living Fossil

The Dwarf Mountain Pine is a 200 million year old living fossil existing only in the southern escarpment between Katoomba and Wentworth Falls. It is critically endangered with only about 750 plants left in the wild, according to the latest survey.

    What a fascinating species that goes back so far! And it's only in this small ecosystem in the Blue Mountains, Australia. Must be saved!
