Can’t wait to see how this cactus gets in Lyn. You will have to do an update video for us later on. I’ve lost so many cactus to rot this year. I have only 4 babies left and found root mealy in 2 of them 😢 I’ve repotted them all and in a couple of weeks I will treat them with bug clear for vine weevil or I was considering hydrogen peroxide 3% to make sure Any remaining mealys are long gone. But it’s so disheartening 😢 anyway sending you lots of love xxx

So sorry to hear you have lost a lot of cacti to rot Paula, its so gutting when we lose plants, and sometimes our cacti can rot and we don't know the reasons why, root mealies are such an awful pest as we can't see them hiding on the roots in the pots, the bug clear vine weevil killer is really good at killing root mealies, I had to use the vine weevil killer for root mealies on my very big Aloe as it was impossible to get rid of the root mealies, and a watering with the bug clear vine weevil got rid of them completely, thanks so much Sis for your wonderful Friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and Tom and cutiepie Mabel lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to Swindon for a super Sunday today XXXX

Thanks Lyn for a very informative video. My Parodia Magnifica, which I did a video about, seems to have lost its roots in a similar way. I also have a Sulcorebutia in a similar state. I think I'll try and re-root them in pure grit - they are in a mix that is supposed to be well draining, but perhaps it's not well draining enough. Some of these plants just seem to be very stubborn! Wishing you and Hans all the best from a warm and sunny England today 🙂🌵💚

Thats fantastic your heart shaped Hoya is growing new leaves, its so exciting to see these Heart Hoyas growing new leaves, Awwww I LOVE the fizzle sizzle plants, and they will grow back again from their bulbs, I don't have one of these myself but I am pretty sure they are late Summer and Autumn and winter growers and they lose their corkscrew leaves during the spring and early summer months, from late Summer they will regrow their corkscrew leaves again, keep more on the dry side and just a light watering once every couple of weeks until they start to come into growth from late Summer early Autumn time, and then once they come back into growth you can water every time the soil has dried out, thanks so much Mary Elizabeth for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful weekend XXXX
