A pickaroon is a fantastic tool for moving wood around, and will save a lot of wear and tear on your back. It is a simple tool that gives you a lot of reach and extra ability. There are a lot of versions of pickaroons and their cousins, the hookaroon, from the older style like I have here to lightweight modern versions. Pickaroons can also be made from old worn-out axe heads pretty easily.

Don't worry, the kids are fine. Fortunately, five-year-olds can't throw tennis balls very hard.
My dad who is in his 70s uses one. It does save his back.

Will/can it SPLIT wood, or only as a grabber? Never seen one before, thanks for informing us.

It is just for moving/picking up wood. They are really handy tools to have around.
I came for what I thought was a macaroon contest and stayed for tools 🤌🤣❤️
