This is the greatest video ever! It saved me nearly $1000! I have sheared off outside mirrors on my 2016 Lexus NX200t on a couple of occasions. Taking it to the dealer for repair cost me around $1000 last time. This time I knew it would be even more. However, I was able to find the OEM Lexus outside mirror for $200 online. I then watched this video a few times. Removing the door panel was very easy. Unplugging the mirror wiring harness was also easy. On the NX, the controller was not in the way of reaching the 3 nuts holding the mirror assembly to the body, so there was no need to move that. The only problem with the installation came with removing those 3 nuts. I did not have a 10MM hex nut driver bit for my electric drill. I would have needed and extension for the bit as well as the nuts are about 2.5 inches deep. I did a workaround by using a manual 10mm nut driver. However the nuts themselves had been installed to be very tight and i could not twist the nut driver with enough power to loosen them. My fix was to place the nut driver on the nut and then hold the handle of the nut driver with pliers for leverage. This worked perfectly. The nuts came off easily. One did drop into the door but was easily retrieved with a magnetic screwdriver. Now the old mirror pulls right off. You can cut the power cable on the old mirror and pull the two parts through the opening separately. The rest was easy. The replacement mirror has its power cord attached. You simply feed it through the hole in the door. Tighten the three nuts again, plug the new power harness into its receptacle and test. Voila! Mirror works perfectly! Note: there are only 3 screws to remove on the NX200 to get the door panel off. One behind the door handle, one under the small piec of carpet and one under the window controller. The window controller pops out easily. There is no screw to remove on the edge of the door. No need to unplug the power window wiring harnesses either. You can slip the assembly through the opening in the loose door and leave ithe harness attached. Caution: There are many types of wiring harness. Be careful in unplugging them as you must avoid breaking the plastic.
