Savage Arms has build a reputation for have accurate rifles even in their most accurate rifles such as the Savage Axis 2. the Savage 110 Tactical being the Axis' big brother is no exception to that rule.
the Savage 110 tactical is likely the best suited rifle for beginners or as a first option to precision rifle shooting who want a rifle they can grow with and an action they can build on.
Why the 110 tactical and not the 110?
-Accutrigger: all Savages have an Accutrigger, the ones on the 110's are miles ahead of the savage axis 2 Accutriggers
-Extended/ oversized bolt knob (makes cycling the action easier more leverage for extraction and a lighter bolt lift
-Medium profile 24" fluted button riffled barrel. Button riffling is the easiest way to cut the lands in the barrels riffling but they are not usually the most accurate, savage has gotten that right!
-Takes AICS Magazines!
-the Stock: the stock has a variety of features that makes it great. changeable comb/lenght of pull, aluminum chassis embeded in the stock ensuring you are getting the most accuracy out of that barreled action.
In this video we were using the Arken ep5 5-25X56 optic, a great optic for the money

They don't make 'em like they used to. Actually, they make them much better. I can remember more than 60 years ago there were national advertisements for the "1 MOA Club." The elite shooters were inducted after shooting a 1", hundred yard 10-shot group. It was partially a matter of luck, since many of the rifles used then lacked the out-of-the-box accuracy to achieve such groups. This rifle, which I have owned and shot for several years, most certainly does. Thanks for the review, and thanks to Savage for producing quality, affordable rifles.

Big fan of the 110T. Mine is in .308. One major change I've made to the rifle is to change out the stock to a Magpul Hunter as they make one for the Savage 110. I did this because I didn't like the butt profile. It's triangular and has a QD stud so it doesn't ride a rear bag very well. Most precision rifles have a rectangular butt stock to make the bottom parallel to the bench. They also have a side QD sling attachment point, not on the bottom. Interestingly Savage now have the Magpul stock on their 18" barrel 110 Tactical Hunter model. This version is more compact and suited to suppressor use.

how far do you want to shoot? and how much do you want to spend. the arken ep5 is a good scope to start with in price. around $600 canadian, another one would be the discovery ed prs 5-25x56 they are around $600 canadian, most people will tell you to spend twice the money of the rifle to the optic, me i'am not like that. if your just starting dont go nuts spending a huge amount on a optic. the vortex strikeeagle is another one, but then its over $1000 dollars. i'm in canada so to say where i get mine my not work for you!. thanks for the comment and please dont forget to subscribe today

I bought one of these in 6.5 prc as a little competition for my 6.5 Creedmoor CMMG AR10. They both have a 24 inch barrel with the same Sidewinder muzzle device. I was expecting the bolt action savage to shoot more accurately. The CMMG at 1000 yards was .4 MOA while the Savage was .7 MOA.

Just picked up the Savage 57006 110 Tactical 308 Win 10+1 20" and threw on an Arken Optics SH4J 6-24X50 Rifle shot Sellier & Bellot 150 gr tactical ammo beautifully after doing a break-in then tried some of what I thought would be better, Fiocchi Range Dynamics ammo but turns out my Savage hates it. Awesome rifle also installed an Area 419 SIDEWINDER Magnum Self Timing Brake. I could shoot this rifle all day! This Savage shoots just as good and as accurate as my RPR in 6.5CM
