Adam, I have liked Savages back when 10/10 people called them junk for how cheap they cost. I've gotta say I've never owned one that shot bad, ALL good. Excellent boolot sling'n brother!!!👍👍

I remember my dad's disappointment when I bought a Savage model 10 predator(he would ONLY carry a Remington). His attitude changed when it shot clover leafs at 100 yards.

I’ve shot 7 of these high country’s in all different calibers and they all shoot! I just bought this rifle in a 7mm-08 and it’s poison.

Had a savage aXIS II in 25-06, shot same hole at 50 yds, looked like a shotgun at 100 no matter the ammo, factory, reloads etc... bought a second 1, same problem.

Same. I have a 110 Predator in .223 that can make one hole out of 5 shots with 69gr Sierra HPBT, and then did the same with 60gr Hornady V-Max’s. Love my Savage rifle.
I bought a Savage Axis ii xp in 30-06. I routinely pull off a .63 - .68 group with 180gr hand loads. Savage is a good rifle.
There's just something about getting sub 3/4 MOA groups with budget ammo that gets my heart pumping. Good ol' Core-Lokt comes through again.
You are a hunter shooting deer catching boolot slingers. This is some of the best groups I've seen you shoot and from a store bought savage and from store bought boolots. Great thing with that rifle is that it's a 308 and it will shoot about anything at 100yds. If you go off somewhere and forget your boolots and it does happen, you can find a box of 308 about anywhere and that boolot slinger will sling about anything. I watch your videos everyday. May be 2 in the morning when I'm on nights but I do watch. Keep doing what you're doing the way you want to do it.
I have the same gun in 30-06. It liked the 180 Remingtons but loved the Federal terminal ascent and federal loaded partitions. Both 5/8” groups. Very fine rifle.
That is where reloading your own is best. That way you can dial in a combo that the rifle likes and you know they will be consistently accurate.
Really impressed by these Savages lately!

Yup then divide that # by 1.047 to get the MOA measurement.
Have the same rifle in a 300wsm and it shoots fantastic with my handloads. 168 gain Hammer Hunters at 3100 fps sub 1/2". Great rifles....but yes, as others have stated, it is heavy for a "High Country" rifle. If you want a light Savage....the ultralight is the way to go. They shoot great as well.
Whatta rifle!!!!! 🎯 Total agreement on your ammo comments. Great shooting 👍
Who Tee mighty fine shooting. Great videos
That is a gorgeous rig 0:47
Yet another excellent video, keep up the great work!
In 2003, after much comparison, I went and bought a Savage 116FCSS with a custom factory profile barrel and woodland camo stock, at that point you couldn't even hardly find a scope mount to bolt on it because it was so new, but once I found one, I've never looked back. I sold all my other brands in favor of just this one in 300 win mag. It'll do everything from varmints to moose and 100 yd to a thousand.. All day long
Adam your videos are very helpful and great information. Keep up the EXCELLENT WORK.

Awesome shooting rifle along with the marksman behind the trigger. Don’t forget the ragged one hole 🕳️ group with the Savage M110 Trail Hunter in 300 WSM, which to me is just as or more impressive since it’s a harder recoiling cartridge. 😎🦌🇺🇸
Great job WhoTeeWho, like always. I have this rig myself and have fallen in love with it. Thanks foe all you do!!
I used to have a savage .270 110 c from the 80s that would consistently do 5 shot .5 inch groups at 100 yards
This is real-world testing . Keep up the great content. 👍
Always great content
Good timing on this video! I and in the process of deciding what rifle to buy in 308. This was one my list. Thanks

Ha ha, I was about to ask if you cleaned the barrel after so many shots, then you mentioned it. I have to agree with you about the Savage trigger, my 110 has a wonderful trigger, right out of the box, no need to even think about adjusting it.
Great video love ammo testing.. I’m really impressed with savage rifle I’ve got 2 rugers I’m thinking I need a savage
Great video, thank you. That 168 gr, three shots, one hole 👌
Wow better than I would’ve of expected
So many times i get a buddy that brings a rifle over and wants me to help him get it zeroed and shows up with one box of ammo.... luckily i like boo lot slingin so i usaully have a couple boo lots to contribute, Thanks for the videos!
Awesome 👏🏻 awesome 👏🏻 video brother. You can’t beat that copper bullet for dropping big game
I am happy for you, wish i had the same luck with remington ammo as you.
Another good video wtw. And good shooting. Thanks.
All I'll say is that High Country shoots good and it does like Remington ammo. Good video 👍

Seems like Savage has revamped their quaility. However, I don't know if they will ever overcome their past. Some do, some don't.

Your unsubstantiated statement clearly showing your uneducated biased snobbish attitude. Since 1894 Savage has been producing excellent firearms, let alone military barrels & ammo design and sales. Purchasing Stevens, Fox, Cresent and keeping these high-quality firearms in production. From Mosin's, Browning 50's and Tommygun production.....understand my reasoning yet?????
@jamesstafford62

Revamped their quality? That’s funny! Savage has always been a very accurate gun , but since it was a great value Richie Riches of the world made fun of the poors who bought them.
That rifle is a keeper for sure
You convinced me to buy one. I bought it from a friend of mine who has a FFL for just over $1k. Bought a Vortex Viper PST 5-24x50 FFP. I’m extremely excited to tans it to the range and try to touch it at 1000 yards.

Crazy you’re reviewing this now as I just got one too. Taking it to the big range tomorrow but I have a sneaky suspicion it’ll be the most accurate gun in my safe

I need to take my Storm in 25-06 back out to the range. It shot pretty good, even with PPU ammo. I have not used a lead sled as I cannot get comfy behind one. Front bag only, as that is the closest to deer stand shooting style for me. Ammo price has come down some, but still up in the clouds. Considering trying some ELD-X and others, although Hornady Whitetail are pretty consistent and the price is $weet.😊
Good video good to see savage rifle so accurate I would keep that one Adam👍
Wow, excellent!

Definitely likes Remington ! Was hoping you try a mix but it groups !
NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT, lol excellent. that was a fun vid.
My new christensen arms 7mm rem mag likes the Remington core lokt tipped 150gr bullets, had to try them out after watching you use them with that sako
Getting an aluminum bedding block in a factory available stock is great. I have the older 110 predator. Similar features minus the cerakote and fluting
..that is a very nice gun and an awesome barrel 🏆🏆🏆 ..cheers/🍻🇸🇪🍻
Dang Hoot, that Savage likes nearly everything! 🎉 Despite what many believe, under an inch and a half is deadly and plenty for venison harvesting operations! 😮 Nuff said. ❤
Thanks for the video man always enjoy them. Really digging the love for the 308 lately. It is my favorite cartridge for sure. I would like to see you do a review on the savage 110 ultra lite in 308, 30-06 or 280 ackley improve? Thanks again for the video God bless
Well done!

I would like to see you do some hand loads to test vs the factory loads in that rifle
My solus 308 loves the Rem 168 as well.
Definitely a keeper
I like this rifle. Colour and all.
Excellent!!! I have three rifles that I need to do this type of sighting in with because I went with the “Fancy” ammo and bought a lot of it, simply because thats what i wanted it to shoot. Didn’t work out so well. I was about to call a browning rifle I bought a piece of crap. Then changed ammo twice and happy days. Now I’m trading ammo, go figure.
I convinced my brother and two of my nephews to try Savage. They all were surprised. My brother has a 284AI and he uses it for everything now. My nephews bought 308s, same. Yes, you can have under an inch in Savage rifles with the right load. For dollars spent, the best value out there. If I "needed" another rifle, or if I just want another rifle, it WILL be a Savage. However, I have too many adequate rifles now.
Those 168s have been my go to for better then forty years in the 308.
Oh my! I have an idea with this group. A water jug comparison with the 3 150s or the 3 Core Lokt Tipped (150, 165 & 180). Good stuff. Many thanks.
Strongly considering a 110 trail hunter. I've always been a Remington, Winchester guy , but economics are weighing heavely.
You rock, thanks

Man Remington is good and not bad on the wallet$$$... I'm definitely going to try them out on some of my rifles!!
WTW, that is a fantastic rig. Thanks for the boolot comparison. That Blitzking group has to be .165 🤯
Like to see how it likes the cheaper off the shelf stuff like whitetail, non typical, etc.. I reload all my stuff but curiosity is a killer
The rifle likes what it likes. Rarely does a rifle like what I want it to like.
Same hole measures outside hole to outside hole then devide by two. Gives you center to center.
Good video!!! I can't believe someone would complain about you using all Remington ammo?!? Now days you shoot what you can find and at least the price is reasonable with rem ammo.
I've never shot a group like that, I think I'd retire and finish on a win 🏆 😂 Amazing rifle 👌
Dang nice rifle
👍WTW. Impressive rifle!
That rifle is secured three ways on the action by an and aluminum bedding that extends all the way through the forearm of the stock. I have a storm in 30-06 that loves 165 , 172 ,and 180 grain . I kinda have had the same experience with these rifles. Remington has their premier long range if you can get a hold of it . They are 172 grain bonded Speer impact bullet. For 308 and 30-06.
I like to load a bit hot with Nosler accubond 150 grain. If you are going after elk i suggest a good expanding monolithic of 165 grain. It's good out to 500 yards as long as you make a good shot on your game animal.
Great video, great groups, well except one, which was still excellent. Love your videos. How 'bout an experiment. This is based on a video I saw over on Backfire. His was based on someone else's experience. Clean the barrel, foul with copper, and shoot a couple more groups with copper only.. The theory is some rifles don't like the mixing of copper and lead projectiles and the copper after lead is less precise than copper from copper only rifles.
Great job dude that's the way to lay um In there
Impressive!
At least this ammo is reasonably available. Some of the other brands are just not on the shelf.
Like the video. .308 is a strong 💪🏼 caliber within range. Love to see it at a thousand yards 😊.
My man i thought.32 was good, 3 in the same hole, WOW! LIKE I SAID, IM ON HOOTEE'S TEAM😊 Mountain man shooting, hello from WNC ✌️💪🇺🇲🇺🇲💪❤
My old 308 loves 150,haven't tried the others yet. Traded a mallard hen decoy I made for it. Good trade.
👍😊 twist, that’s a good rifle.
165 grain tested different bullets powder and different brass can very on accuracy measuring ur chamber helps variables
hey my brotha adam you shoot what knocks them down n causes shock n awe , great stuff all around n check out atn and xs sights companies , great stuff there , talk soon bro > tom !
I have an older 110 in 25-06 and it loves Barnes Copper bullets...................
I shouldve got the one in 6.5 prc instead i went and put a .50 in layaway great video WhoTee
I have a savage 112J single shot varmint bbl started life as a 220 swift. Melted the barrel off of it. Now I have 7 different caliber barrels for it. I have 3 other savage rifles in the 110 series and they are shooters out of the box. I have 2 axis forst models i did some work on them replaced the 8lb triggers put them in wood stocks, stress free pillar and epoxy bedded and they flat shoot. I want to play with the mossberg patriot in wood stock now. Backfire had one that was garbage and a few other people have had horrible luck with them. I want to take one apart, check the trueness of the action/barrel and see why they are having problems. Yiu had one that shot pretty well i believe.
I shot my 629 w/ 8 3/8” barrel today. That thing surprises me every time I shoot it. Can’t imagine a 500 mag. Hurts the hand after 12-16 shots. Your hand made me think of it.

I love my model 29 8 3/8" 44mag., try a rubber Houge Mono Grip to cushion the recoil and help prevent hurting the hand. I ring a steel 36" plate at 330 yards open sight with mine.

I have the 110 High country in 7mag. It shoots sub “.5 with 175gr ABLRs and even sub .5” with 168gr ABLRS. It’s a tax driver and deer and elk slayer! I get sub 1” at over 200 yards.
Hope your hand gets better before hunting season.
