I picked up a Trail Hunter after watching your video on the 6.5CM , and I picked it up in 6.5 PRC for antelope. Unfortunately it shot terribly out of the box, so it got returned to Savage. The barrel was bad, and for some reason the barrels were on (and still are) on backorder. They tried to talk me into a different caliber, but I ordered what I wanted and stuck with the PRC. After 5+ months they were tired of me calling every three weeks, and they offered me a free upgrade to something they had in stock, being a Proof Research barrel in 6.5 PRC. Today I got to break the barrel in and I'm ecstatic!! After 6 shots, with cleaning after each shot, the barrel settled in and shot a sub .400" three shot group, and repeated with another even smaller!! Savage customer service is second to none!!! (And now my trail hunter weighs less and shoots great!!)

I want more! I really enjoy my Savage 10/110. I like the idea of a backpacking rifle that shoots that good.
I've said it in your comments before, but my go to deer rifle is my Savage 10FXP in .308 It was a walmart special several years ago that came with Bushnell 3-9 x40 Mine isn't very picky at all about what ammo I use... From my experience, Savage rifles in general aren't that picky. I've owned a total of 4.. 3 I still own. For deer hunting I've been using the Hornady American Whitetail 150s. Anchored some big bucks with that setup.
Try the Thompson center compass. Even more accurate. Believe it.
I bought an arrow precision 308 upper and lower bought a whole bunch of the cheapest ammo. I could find shoots like 1 foot groups, but I’ve got five boxes of decent factory loads, including some horn Amax Remington, and Norma. Can’t wait to get to the range and hope one of them shoots well. lol if I would’ve seen this video a few months ago thanks for the content always appreciate it
Sweet shooter right there. Thanks WTW!!

Hey Ken
Great vid Whotee..keep on the good work and hope that hand gets better soon. Any recommendations on a super clear glass rifle scope? Bought several of the Burris HD Signatures in 50mm and love em. I'm looking for another option to test out for my wife's new 6.5.

I bore sight at 33 yards. I shoot once, then adjust scopes clicks X 3. That will put you really close at 99 yards. Go Savage👍🤩

Why 99 yards? Why not just get the zero at 100
Hey Whootie. How about weighing what you're taking to the range. I know I'd be interested.
Lol I commented on your reel about that gun liking to get in 308 or7mm08 just goes to show you great minds think alike
Great video. Thanks. If you get a chance, try a TC Venture 2. My Venture 2 in 308 is fairly light, handy, and very accurate with the loads i have tried.

Nice rifle I have an RPR in 308 it loves 168g Sierra tipped match King
Thanks for the video. Look forward to them daily. Tho my wife hates it considering I've picked up about 4 new rifles that you have reviewed.. what bore site are you using now I'm looking for a new one. Thanks

I love Savage rifles from the axis up they just put them where they count .
when i have enough money im getting one of those boo lot slingers. i have always had good results with savage 110's
Ohhhhh a LITE version! PTL 🙏. I looked at the specs and thought the standard version would be too heavy to lug around hunting after adding a scope
I never saw a Savage that didn't shoot. i have 2 Savage 110's, one in 30-06 the other is a 110 WLE (one of a thousand) in 7x57 Mauser. Both are moa's.
Absolute tack driver in a great all around cartridge!!! Hard to beat!
Savage... Accu trigger... I kinda knew before I clicked. Model don't matter with these guys.

I did get a new camera, but it was the same camera I was using before 🤣
Have a custom barreled/stocked Ruger 30-06, that shoots 165 BT just fine.
I love savage accurate right out of the box
nice combo!!
Love your channel. Im disappointed because I hoped you would check out the ruger 10/22 with the 22 inch barrel . Please- this disabled senior 😮citizen would love to see you chrono the difference between the stock 16.5 or 18.5 inch barrel vs the rare or uncommon 22 inch barrel. I seen on eBay there is even a 24 & 28 inch barrel

Very nice. Why do you keep increasing my want list? I have a Remington Sendero in 308 but it’s too heavy to carry around. Savage, here I come. 😎

In all of your world travels, have you noticed any point of impact change in taking on and off your shusher cans? Like shooting it one day at the range, then taking it off and storing the bing bang. Then at a later date put on the can again and see or notice and POI change?

I haven't done a ton of testing on that but I do not recall ever seeing a large shift
Thanks 👍
I like 2in..high at 100....at200 yards it's dropping right on target....with a 270.....130 grain bullets
That's outstanding
👍😊 can’t complain about that.
It would be cool to see some 5 shot groups when you have a good load.
I bet it will go bang!
Good video I like it how long is the barrel on that thing?

Wow! What else can you say. My Weatherby will do that but you could probably buy 3 of these for what I paid for 1.
Not too shabby at all WTW!
What is the cost?
How do the barrel contours compare between the lite and the standard? I know Savage says the standard is a medium weight and the lite a heavy sporter but they look similar.

I’ve been looking at 7 prc savage 110 trail hunter. But idk if that would be the best caliber for that rifle? What do u think wtw. It’s either that one or a Remington 700 in 7 mag.. it has a 26” barrel. Which one would you choose for deer hunting??

How does the sound suppression compare between the Banish Backcountry and the Banish 30? I have a B30, but need another can. Thinking of a backcountry, but don’t want to sacrifice too much sound suppression for a smaller size.
