    I've been running the 110 Varmint 22-250 a lot on my channel and it always proves itself with various loads. Savage just did it right. The heavy barrel helps to keep the rifle stable and dampens down the harmonics. I liked the Varmint so much that I decided to go with the Tactical for my long range 6.5CM project. So far so good. These rifles are a very good buy for precision work. The extraction problems are pretty common with Savages though. I put in the SSS improved extractor in my Varmint and haven't had an issue since. Even when the Savages extractors work, they seem pretty weak compared to other bolt actions. Other than that, the accuracy potential knocks it out of the park.

    i mean for the performance you get out of this with the trigger/stock/accuracy all for ~500 bucks you just can't beat it. one thing that i really don't like though is the aftermarket for these. More specifically the chassis market. there isn't much out there for chassis that fit the 110 serious and the ones that do are super expensive.

  • @ChuckinTV

    @ChuckinTV

    Corey D That’s why I just stick with the original stock. I doubt a chassis will do much more for the performance. You might as well save the money to go towards reloading supplies. Maybe a whole other rifle for the price of some chassis stocks.

Can shoot the tits off a tick with that thing using just Super X factory loads. The Accu-Stocks are under-rated by too many people in my opinion. I have a Savage 110 LA, in 30-06, which came stock. I don't hand load (I should learn) and with Federal Fusion 165 grain rounds I was getting 2 inch group's. I made a ton of changes like replacing the stock with a Bell & Carlson stock, 25 inch Magnum fluted barrel, switched to Hornaday percision hunter ammo and a Vortex Viper HS-LR with all the extras. Now this old boy shoots under 1 inch MOA.

BUT its more expensive so i mean if you have the budge for one i wouldn't buy vortex but i am in no way nocking them i LOVE vortex. have many vortex products and have been happy with them all. i just think there are better options if you have a bigger budget. the scope thats on my vudoo is by far the best glass i've ever owned. but i've never got one tier up to like a s/b tho.

    How buy this gun any more we in 2019 this gun use to 2009 buy desrt tac 338 lapua magnum so small gun with long barrel can change barrel 308. 300win. 338. Or go with ar10 it's still 308 so over 800m not to mach so ar10 best for 308 In 308 20 inch barrel same 24inch only defines 80-100fps
