    I have the same Savage, running a Trijicon Accupower. Love it. Mine love Winchester Match ammo and Hornandy Match ELD less than 1/2" groups @ 100.

    Both are beautiful rifles! I checked out the Stealth at my local Big 5 and I love it! Been trying to find a video of someone shooting it but no luck so far. Any idea of when you'll have a long range video posted?

    Thank you sir for the short review. Honestly, Ruger or Savage should do just fine. But if it saves me some money then I'll go with the Savage Stealth. But that's just me.🍺😆👍

    John Roach yes sir, I can report that this gun is shooting sub 1/2 MOA with factory eldm 140 grain hornady ammo. I have also worked a load with 140 amax and imr 4451 with great results. my son and I hit a milk jug at 1000 yards with it recently. stay tuned for more videos

    Hi. I watched your video on the Savage 10 BA Stealth in 6.5 Creedmoor. I grew up in Price, Utah, and now live in Houston, Texas. I am interested in seeing how well the Savage shot at 100 yards and then at 1,000 yards. Do you have a video for shooting the Savage BA 10? I looked at your other videos and didn't seem to find one. Thanks, Travis Mansfield

    When he was talking and pulling the trigger I imagined how funny it would be if a live round was in the chamber, especially considering he didn't have ear pro on.

    saw this video, my local store had a ruger and savage . this video made me choose the savage. I dropped a very expensive scope on it. first shot was 4-5 feet to the right at 75 yards... wow... I couldn't even achieve zero even with the windage totally maxed out left.. really bummed... off to savage it goes....after about 40 rounds, 4 trips to the range, remount the scope 4 times... you get what you pay for on the bright side I shot sub moa, it was just a bit right. I hear the customer service is good and I'm about to find out. turns out the way the barrel is set to the receiver by design when they crank it down it gets a little off. in my guns case , a lot.

    The ruger precision rifle is not built on the ruger American. It's a whole new receiver system. I do appreciate the value of the savage model 10, and how far savage has gone with perfecting the system by adding variety within the model 10 line.

    If it is using a MDT chassis, it should be no problem to buy a folding stock adapter. They go for around $100. Just putting this out there if it's a dealbreaker for some of you.

I can start getting my drop data reliably now without having to take my barrel off to fix the trigger after every box of ammo I would shoot

    I want to start this off as saying that I have never taken the time to bash any company the way I am about to bash Savage Firearms. I purchased a Savage Model 10 BA Stealth so that I could shoot long distance firearm competitions with my father. I purchased the rifle after seeing the rifle on display at the Shot Show in Las Vegas. When I brought the rifle home I mounted a NightForce scope and wanted to sight the rifle in. The rifle would not group on paper. The groups were greater than 12 inches at 75 yards. I did some reading and discovered that the QD mount I was using might not grip the rifle the way I had hoped. So I purchased a HD rail from the company that made the rail for Savage to fix this problem. I remounted the rifle and again took it out to the range using Prime Match Ammo. Again, this rifle was shooting a group greater than a foot. In this process I wasted Over $80 in ammo, and another $60 on the rail. I called Savage they said they wanted to examine the rifle, so I then sent them the rifle. Three weeks go by and I call them to ask what was wrong, they then said they were going to rebuild the rifle. Fast forward five weeks, they still hadn’t finished the rebuild, so I asked for a replacement rifle, they said they would ship a replacement but it would take another three weeks for “processing.” The next day I get a call that they managed to fix mine in a day and it shot a .7in group at 100 yards. So I decided to just take the old rifle knowing that it could guarantee accuracy. Savage didn’t tell me to when they were gonna send it. I called and asked for a shipping number when I received the tracking # it had already been delivered. This is where this disaster in customer service gets worse. I had recently been traveling on assignment, I had been calling and telling Savage to ship to my home location in Ohio. They had on record three instances where I had told them to ship it to my home location. Fast forward 10 days and Savage does not call, they still haven’t had UPS pick up the rifle, my rifle has been gone for 13 weeks. You know what they offered me? A hat or an extra magazine. Worst company I have ever done business with. Their products are defective, their customer service is worst in the business, I will never own or talk about Savage in a positive way again.

    Question... Should i go with .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor?

  • @Deerslayer1912

    @Deerslayer1912

    7 жыл бұрын

    Depends on what you want to do. If you're only shooting out to about 6-700 yards and not going for superb accuracy, go with 308. If you want to go 1000+ very accurately and slightly easier, go with 6.5. 308 is also a little cheaper in cost per round, but it is a bolt gun so its unlikely you'll be going through 1000s of rounds.

    majestytd just a personal observation, and not trying to take away from a .308 as I shoot several of them but, you can always shoot close with either round, but if you want to go far the 6.5 will outperform the .308 all day. factory ammo is readily available and very accurate, lower recoil than a .308 and just plain fun to shoot.

    Dustin Spencer now you gonna make me want to order the 6.5 too.I will also get the 6.5 but it will have to be the Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR) I read a lot of information lately and those RPR seem very popular. Do you guys know anything about it?

  • @BigFreakinViking

    @BigFreakinViking

    7 жыл бұрын

    majestytd I have shot the Ruger Precision and it's a a good gun. Here are my issues with it. #1 it weighs about 5 lbs more than the savage. #2 It is utilizing a Ruger American Action that can be bought for $300, they put a chassis under it and make it $1300. The Savage is on a model 10 action that a $600 gun, they blue print the action, put it in a chassis and add MDT mags. my HUMBLE opinion is the savage is a better gun with nothing more than longer cheek rest being needed.
