While he's always learning always giving credit to Mayweather is trying to minimize his accomplishments and talent, trying to give credit to 1 individual; maybe it's the fact he was still inexperienced and young and as years go by fighters can only improve with age and experience. There's nothing more despicable than trying to not simply give credit and trying to contribute it to something that is not factual. While all fighters don't necessarily improve as the years go by , the main reason it's they have reached their potential, he hadn't reached his potential, that's the difference .

I’m 30 and i can’t say how grateful i am to watch this man box. Literally watching greatness.
Saul is the absolute definition of a World Champion. We are lucky to witness his greatness. He is a great role model in a time where that isn’t the norm.
When this mans career is over he should be talked about as one of the all time greats

Yep he hasn't lost a fight since his loss against Mayweather. Dude is a beast in the ring. He's smart, he has great defense, he's a awesome power puncher and he's relentless. Boxer's better think twice before stepping into the ring with him.

Mayweather was smart he got Canelo in there right away. Even just 3 or 4 more fights and we may have had a totally different fight to watch! The thing is that loss did a lot for Canelo, leveled him out a bit just in time for him to level up again and again!

@@John-gb4dc I can tell you have a set of bias rules in play. I do not. I look at how he has dominated 5 weight divisions except for his loss against a dancing Mayweather at 22 yrs old. Canelo started his career at welterweight, then super welter, then middle weight, then super middle, then light heavyweight. If he can defeat the fighters i mentioned earlier. I do not see a single fighter who can say he's dominated the sport like he has.

It's been a pleasure to watch him since he first came to fight in the USA 🇺🇸in 2010.. He came on the scene with a vengeance & even losing to Mayweather in 2013 at only 23 couldn't derail the Alvarez train 😳.. He just kept coming & taking down everyone put in front of him. Canelo has evolved as a fighter tremendously. What he has done for the sport of boxing, and at a young age, is amazing. He backs down from no one and comes to fight every time. Easily a future Hall of Famer 💪💯

Grew up watching a lot of Mexican fighters (who naturally became some of my lifelong favourites - Marquez, Chavez Sr, MORALES! Etc) and have absolutely thrown Canelo in this list of names also, by default. This era's #1 in world boxing, since the prime years of Pacman and Mayweather it's Canelo out there daring to be great and dominating way ahead of the competition at present.

Like a real champion he took in his faults. Or what he was to young to know ? Chinks in armour!! Humbly and worked his butt off and came back with defensive skills better than most. Sublime to watch. Plus he was a kid when he fought Floyd. I think he's better cause he steamrolled everyone. Didn't shy from anything. Floyd was real cagey in that respect.

Because his oldest brother who was the canelo's inspiration, oldest brother was a pro boxer and he introduced canelo at the age of 14 y/o to trian him.

That Floyd loss was the best thing that could've happened at his age. He learned alot from that fight while he was still young enough to fully adapt and evolve. Another excellent documentary from the ONE AND ONLY Joey Vince.

That loss to Mayweather was truly the best thing that ever happened to Canelo. He went from a great boxer to a downright unbeatable one because of what he learned from that fight. That being said, GGG won that first fight. That shouldn't be a debate. Canelo won the second one convincingly. That also shouldn't be a debate.

@@joseduarte3235 I just don't understand why is he so popular in Mexico? There were many great Mexican boxers. Chavez never chose opponents by class or age. Even when he was old enough he used to fight top class boxers like Tzyu. Chavez is no fear warrior. Legend. Canelo is a fuckin businessman

Alot of fans complain that Canelo doesn’t fight the best, well neither does, Charlo, ggg, Andrade, Crawford, Plant, Spence, Loma etc...but they only complain about Canelo... Compare Canelo’s resume to all of theirs!
