I was one of about 100 people that greeted Roy as he arrived at the Pensacola airport after the Olympics. He exited with his entourage, staring at the ground, looking absolutely depressed and defeated. Everyone gave a thunderous applause and U.S.A. chants. He looked up and was so surprised, he started crying uncontrollably in appreciation. It was so touching. I will never forget it.

Wow!!! Thanks for sharing!!! I wish I was there,or that I had a chance to watch him live, just once in a lifetime, specially when he was Mr Unstoppable!!! If he stopped after capturing heavyweight crown 👑,he will go like The GOAT 🐐 Even with all those later defeats, he's unique, incredible legendary fighter!!! I don't think that we will ever see again someone with such a natural gifted talent from God,hand speed, legs, movements.... Just insane!!!

Is too bad he didn't learn how to manage his money! Poor guy is only worth $5mil. Ugh, that's just not right. I hope this nice payday sets him up good so he can enjoy a nice retirement with no financial worries. But yeah, the guy had it all! When he was doing ringside he was so articulate and loved to hear his perspective on things. This interview is no exception. Best of luck to both fighters, 2 of the greatest of all time.

@@crazecrook they both out of their prime for sure, I don't think you can say my point is not valid when Mike tyson hasn't had a training camp in 15years and Roy Jones was a some what genuine heavyweight 2 years ago, fighting in Asia. When you look at the tail end of Mikes career the mcbride fight etc, dude could of arguably lost to present day Roy Jones back then, Mike's style also counts on being explosive and having a decent gas tank if it goes past the 3rd, both of which he lost 18 yrs ago, could of been the drugs lacks of focus or some bad training camps but I don't think Mike's got it anymore. I could be wrong, Mike could come out looking terrific but if I was a bet maker I'd have Roy Jones as a 2-1 favourite, will be an awesome fight regardless of who wins, two legends the only real winner is the fans.

I never expected a boxer to be so into his craft that he would watch animals fighting and analyze it! My favorite fight of him is the one with Toney from 94. Both undefeated (Jones - 26W, Toney - 46W) At the time he scored the knockdown it's like he enters another dimension with his technique!

I think he's stronger mentally and that will make the difference in the fight. Of course if Mike gets one good shot in early or God forbid a combination of good shots, it's over for Roy.
