Good presentation. Saturn was also known as the black ⚫️ sun in occultic and secret societies of old, and contemporary. Father time, Lord of the Rings, the hexagon north pole, etc. It could also represent Satan, Kronos ate his babies and this has ties to ancient child sacrifices.

It's fascinating that Saturn can be represented by a black cube. A hexagon is a 2-D representation of a cube, and what do we find? A hexagonal storm swirling at Saturn's north pole. Thinking about this too much will keep you up all night. 🤔

Have you seen the Mithraic Saturn? The statues of him from within Mithraeums depict Saturn as holding different aspects of many other gods, a lightning bolt of Jupiter, a wand of Mercury, a hammer and tong of Vulcan, and a pinecone of Asclepius. I believe it was a development from him as a creator god into a monistic view of the highest god, almost like Vishnu.

@@bradcorless2930 I read them twice too, and the second read was even better as I focused on different details than the first one. The bad thing is that he unfortunately passed away after the 5th book while I think he had material for 5 more, as the story was somewhat "just began" and he hadn't even mentioned Mars yet. Of course there is much more to discover about this story, but my idea on the "transition" phase (ragnarok, apocalypse etc.) is that it didn't involve the planet Jupiter at all; if you remember Cardona gives many examples that the idea of the first god giving birth to a newer version of himself (the "sleepy, resting god" vs. the active creator one) takes on a life of its own and gets inserted in many later mythologies with 2 different identities for father god and son god; the most famous being Ouranos gets killed and substituted by Kronos, who in turn is killed and replaced by Zeus. This example is perfect to show that it's likely not a reliable sequence of events, but rather a duplication of the same archetype. There is a major disagreement on this point between Talbott and Cardona, and I tend to agree with Cardona on this as he presented much more evidence in its favor, while Talbott - as brilliant and marvelous as he his on many other issues - seems to have taken this one at heart but without proper corroboration. And I'd pay a lot of money to know what Cardona had in his notes about the arrival of the Moon, as I learned to trust his ideas and research with the utmost respect. Too bad I heard that his unpublished material won't be available anytime soon, so... we'll know the rest with the next generaion of researchers I'm afraid. Meanwhile if you haven't already, I also recommend the books by Ev Cochrane which do add much more meat to the fire, mainly about the intermediate phases of the polar configuration. And of course if you haven't stumbled into them already, the absolutely wonderful "Discourses on an alien sky" by Talbott here on YT. Cheers and happy research XD

All of you are wrong. Christmas never belonged to Rome. They stole it. Santa Claus is Odin. It’s the Anglo-Saxon/Germanic/Scandinavian god. He roamed the sky on a reindeer and he left gifts for children and children left out stockings, left out hay for reindeer, and cookies for him. Romans converted ALL of Europe. They tried for centuries but were unable to get the ppl to stop doing their traditions. So they stole them and then made up a made up story about St. Nick. Catholic Church has lied since the beginning. Halloween was an Irish holiday. Romans were nothing but ppl who stole from everyone

Literally everyone knows that... the church incorporated pagan traditions into its holidays to make the transition from paganism to Christian easier for the people. They figured as long as it's goal is glorifying Christ/God, the exact celebration rules don't matter so much. It's a fun reminder of our ancestors traditions, it's not some evil secret lmao. I wasn't raised religious, but kinda wish i was. All the evil, freakish behavior of people in this world- like most of the lgbtq phenomenon or how our ruling class is all pedos basically, and the way the worst people seem to hate Christianity is making me start to believe in Christianity... Our political class and intellectual class is totally corrupt, and is always countersignaling Christianity and when they do finally talk positively about Christianity it is to manipulate the people into supporting Israel. They don't want what's best for me, they don't want Christianity, does that mean Christianity is what's best for me?

@@echoven when i say plebs and uneducated I don’t mean stupid, just how they would see it. I’m by no means well off and still learning every day, but coming from heavily religious background then now knowing what i know and have studied the past few years.. I can see how it all has lead to where we are now as a species in search of meaning and to get a grip on our environment internally and externally.. some who are at the top of the totem use this as a means of control while practicing it themselves as a practice and not literally believing that they are praising and worshiping a god but more so the cycle of life and the energy that is encapsulated in the cycle. We are creatures of habit and energy and perspective is powerful. We have the power to take matters in to our own hands through the mind and body of ritualistic practice i reverence to the cycle of things. Ultimately there is a means of creating reality and existence itself but I believe that endeavor to find the creator is never ending and that this dimension and 3 dimensional existence is a creation of collective desire and dream brought into physical form to experience our desires, but we get lost in them. From what I said if you take that and read all religious text you’ll see what they were trying to understand and encapsulate in a book or ideology, but it becomes dangerous when it becomes a doctrine to worship someones anthropomorphized god.

[The Forest: In Folklore & Mythology, Alexander Porteous, 1928/2002, p. 145] "To support the premise that the abstraction we call time is a primal trauma, its varied faces, which man has created out of his wish both to acknowledge & expunge this uncanny nemisis, can be identified. A historical profile might start with early Greek literature (see Fraser, 1975), which properly characterized time as tension of oscillating opposites, as in Hesiod's greater & lessor opportunities from agricultural activity or as in Aristotle's rhythmic & cyclic "duration". In a theological framework, the early Hebrews saw time reflected in a tension between Israel & God..." 9:23 I recall hearing that “Dees (spelling?) Patter” means “sky father” not wealthy father. The word for day and sky are similar in many Indo-European languages and there are many commonalities in their mythologies like having a sky god who is either associated with storms and lightning or who has a son who is associated with them. I remember hearing this and it finally making sense why Romans called their God Jupiter while Greeks called theirs Zeus. I had assumed they were different gods entirely which got merged (that’s partly true) but it turns out the names were pretty similar with the word father attached and the reason the Roman’s had such an easy time merging their religions with other nearby ones is because of the common details due to similar Indo-European descent.

Kinda one and the same yes. When you realize that satan gets all the credit for the various false gods, who may have been fallen angels or their nephilim offspring, you start to understand. The 70 nations that were split at Babel each had their own versions of, often times, the same “people/gods” with different names and slight variations in characteristics over time. God took one nation/people for himself, and satan got all the fake gods to work his deceptions on people with. So God basically gave satan an unfair advantage knowing that He would, nevertheless, be victorious over all the false gods and lies. The one real true God beats 70 nations false gods/posers every day of the week. He stands with His arms wide open, waiting for His children to realize the truth, hidden in the midst of all these lies. There is only one true God and He loves you more than anyone else is capable of loving you. He, and His Son.

Nice work. But Balbus may be also right when he says that Saturn's name also comes from Satis, meaning the satiety that is peculiar to the pure or simple intellect that is Kronos (kouro-nous). Its relation to Dis Pater seems to be the same in which Kronos is overthrown by Zeus and thrown into Tartarus. If Zeus becomes the ruler of heaven, the deposed king becomes the chthonic ruler as Hades. One rules activity or demiurgy and the other, rest, or the original state.

I am glad to see you moving in this direction because I was disappointed you did not connect the Dagda to Saturn and Saturnalia in your Christmas Traditions video last year. Do you think it is safe to say, then, given the similarities, that there must have been a a Celtic version of Saturnalia or something like it? For me personally, I believe Father Christmas/Santa is the easiest and best way to introduce modern people to one of our (their own) ancient and noble Gods. For me to say that, in brief terms, they do not receive the Dagda as a stranger but he is in fact the identity of a figure they already know and have been making offerings to since they were children at Christmas (milk and cookies) is a powerful thing indeed.

I just heard it described that Saturn, Satan, Seth was the first aspect of creation to go off and create something of it's own. When all the aspects of the highest divinity were in harmony and were in cosmic union, Saturn had something else inside of it and so it simply wanted to express it. It was the first to break down the barrier of limitless space and consciousness and emptiness and fill it with the infinite multitude of creation as we know it. In doing so it created polarity which was necessary for creation to happen, so both good and bad things were created. But it became a sort of dark aspect, especially in Christianity where we weren't supposed to question things and Saturn represented something wild and abstract and got demonized as something that broke the rules. Without it the universe wouldn't be here

Not just christianity. What is the one thing in common every single major religion ever created has in common? That the universe is a place where one suffers and all life desires to escape this suffering after death. If he is the progenitor of everything as you claim yet all his subjects as far back as can be traced desire to escape your creation, then the dark aspect of creation far supersedes christianity but is an inherent desire in all life. A return to pre-saturn life

@@DaedalusR Ah here's an intelligent commenter, but yes many religions talk about this, though they interpret it differently, but kind of the same. Hinduism and Buddhism call it Maya, she's the one who puts the veil over the earth who makes us forget our true nature and past lives etc, which has its advantages, because as souls we're able to grow exponentially here as well as other places like the earth that have the same kind of duress and intensity. I think it's mostly just the earth, not so much most of the cosmos. There is kind of a satan or veil to every lower realm compared to the next realm up, which is kind of what I was talking about before, probably in past ages it wasn't as much the case. The gnostics call it the demurge I think, where a sort of demon showed up on the earth and because it was the first one here, it called itself god but in doing so, lost its connection to the divine. Either way there's something over the earth like that, or maybe its due to our collective awareness at some point in history, like a cataclysm or something that that traumatized humanity and made this place into kind of a ghetto, or the whole concept of this place was designed in higher realms to be this way, but for the purpose of the opportunity for growth and transformation

It was a very profound dream that i had and through years of research i had eventually come across and realized it’s an entirely common yet nearly unknown and undiscussed phenomena shared by hundred of thousand across the world, just within our current lifetime, likely billions throughout human history. Through further pondering over 20 years i came to the conclusion that the experience resembled that of encountering Saturn. So yes, I would agree there are some sort of higher powers at play. Saturn being geometric entity existing on a plane that transcends time and fate itself.

Hades is wed to Persephone (bringer of destruction) but her other title is Persephatta (mender of destruction), so not so different to Saturn being wed to Ops and Lua, considering Lua could also be another title of Ops. Concerning Romans descended from Saturn and Gauls descended from Dis, on the Proto-Indo-European language family tree, Proto-Celtic and Proto-Italic evolved out of Proto-Italo-Celtic. Concerning Saturn vs Mars, Mars was originally an agricultural deity of boundaries between farms, hence the protection of those boundaries, hence a "war" god later. If Saturn is the sky and also associated with the underworld, then considering Iuppiter displaces Saturn, could it be that day displaces night, if night precedes day? Dyaus Piter- daylit sky father. All just food for thought.

I found this carefully researched and beautifully presented. I have a deep love for the Cthonic Deities, and am always pleased to find them dealt with in ways that speak to their complexity. The Romans had a habit of taking the Cult statues of defeated peoples, and parading them into Rome with great ceremony. They were added to the company of “The Gods IN Rome”, and worship given to Them. The Romans also closely guarded the information about “The Gods OF Rome”, to prevent enemy armies from seducing their Gods away from Rome, and winning battles with the help of Rome’s Gods. The Romans told their defeated enemies that their Gods gave the victory to the Romans because They received better offerings from Rome, and wished to have the centre of Their worship moved to Rome.🖤🇨🇦

Do you have any early references drawing that association? Apologies. I realize now you were talking about Dis. It is interesting that he was also associated with Pluto. Epiphanius, bishop of Salamis (c. 310-320 - 403AD) says that at Alexandria (Egypt) Aion's birth from Kore the Virgin was celebrated January 6: "On this day and at this hour the Virgin gave birth to Aion." The date, which coincides with Epiphany, brought new year's celebrations to a close, completing the cycle of time that Aion embodies... In Ptolemaic Alexandria (305 BC-30 BC), at the site of a dream oracle, the Hellenistic syncretic god Serapis was identified as Aion Plutonius. The epithet Plutonius marks functional aspects shared with Pluto, consort of Persephone and ruler of the underworld in the Eleusinian tradition.

  • @markjohnson4217

    @markjohnson4217

    Жыл бұрын

The three Kings were Chaldean astronomers..I think it is one of the strangest events in the entire biblical story that they were sent to the nativity at all. From apparently very far away and found their way by the guidance of a bright star, (Saturn?) To Christians, there is a relationship to the trinity here, which I think is not entirely off the mark. The Kabballah offers some insight: Keter(crown) Hokmah(Wisdom) Binah(Intelligence) They bring gifts and pay homage and then we never hear from them again... The manger is surrounded by cattle, sheep, angels, Mary and Joseph. It reminds me of the seventh day of creation, wherein all of the creatures and hosts glorify the creation while God rested in the midst of the glorified Kingdom. Same pattern here which suggests that the Three Wise Kings as a Trinity, or balanced Triad, are also somehow responsible for perveying the Holy spirit and bestowing Kingship upon the child Christ. Without their blessing, perhaps it would have been a different story. Much like Jesus not being baptised by John, they are essential keys to the appearance of the manifest divinity. Hope that sheds a bit of light on those three odd characters, Lol

Saturn's position within the tetractys of the Kabbalah expresses his properties very well. The seven days of creation are expressed as a hexagon with a center spot , framed by the outer three of the triad. 🌕 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ 🌕 ☀️ 🌕 ☀️ ☀️ 🌕 The form of the hexagon also expresses one octave: the hexagon itself plus the six points plus the center lower octave that it encloses. The circular hexad encloses ( as Saturn'the father does) the six points are the six days of creation expressed as lines connecting each in a sequence, ending with the seventh day in the center ( the lower octave Saturn resting in the glory of his creation).. The number 8 is associated with his aspect of upper and lower enclosures in an eternal recurring cycle. The upper and lower DO of the octave. His aspect within the En Soph is 'Daat', or Knowledge. This is only expressed in the 'Night' aspect. I hope this adds a little something to the lore of this diety. There is no question that the God of the Torah is this same being with all of the same properties of sacrifice, fatherhood, obedience and order, and of course the Sabbath, that elusive day in the middle is where he is in repose. So that is all ...I better stop now, Lol...
