5x5 means they hear you clearly. Essentially meaning 100% while 3x5 would be ~60% clarity and 1x5 meaning it was very unclear. This is military, Aviation, and most likely nautical communication standard.

Yes this is correct. As I work with aircraft, if I tell them 3x5 I will also tell them it's due to static. If they are at the 1x5 level, I just tell them they are unreadable and to try again when they are closer.

"Read you five" means "perfectly readable". Anything beyond that like "five square", "five by five" are just lyrics for clogging the frequency.

I was a field radio operator in the Marine Corps and we did not use "5x5" or any variation of that. We would say "Read you loud and clear", or simply "lima charlie" if the transmission was easy to interpret. If the signal was weak, we would say, "broken and unreadable", or "broken but readable" for example. I am also a licensed amateur (HAM) radio operator and "5x5" is sometimes used amongst HAM operators. The first number signifies QSA (signal strength) ranging from 1 to 5 (scarcely perceptible to very good) and the second number signifies QRK (intelligibility of the signal) ranging from 1 to 5 (bad to excellent).

its so interesting to see different players taking different approaches.

These are quickly becoming my favorite videos. The crispy snipes, *the water pump edit*, the slow motion, the puns, the meme worthy AI dialogue, and the environments. Truly, chefs kiss. But seriously, that intro was a freakin gameplay trailer!!

Watching this on the train back, was lovely. Might purchase this title…

The term 5X5 is rooted in the communications within military forces through WWII to mean "I understand you perfectly." The first number represented the Signal Strength of a radio communication, and the second number represented the signal clarity on a scale from 1-5 -- 1 being the worst; 5 being the best. Therefore 5 by 5 means the signal has excellent strength and perfect clarity - the most understandable signal possible. Five by five is the predecessor to the term "Loud and Clear" or "Lima/Charlie" used by military units today. It found its way into verbal slang, meaning "everything is good" or "everybody is well/good". 🤓

Don't. I bought it, it's cool for the first hour or two, but then gets very repetitive. That and there are only 5 missions, and there isn't a multiplayer mode. The game devs are paying a bunch of streamers to promote it tho, so you'll see a few videos out there about it.

To each his own. Yes there are 5 missions but each one has like 5 parts. so you can easily spend 30 hours playing this game or even more if your trying to get all the achievements. Personally I loved it and then played SGW1 which was less graphics but much harder. Also people be raggin on this game have not played it after the update which fixed a lot of things that YES were broken but still it's a fun play. COD it is NOT. This is a game where you have to take your time. If your looking for an instant action game go play warzone.

This game just keeps giving. It is "drawn" so well. So much detail in every map. Stunning.

My god I could watch you play this game for hours. Great vid Tom, the effort you put into vids is appreciated!

Love those one liners Tomo! Thanks so much for continuing the videos on this game. Ive been stuck on the mainframe level for several days.

I truly enjoyed GWC1 and now I am having a blast with GWC2. I like thinking out my strategy as I clear almost all bases without raising alarms. I carefully watch the patrols and notice gaps in their patterns so that I can take out each target in the best sequence to prevent their bodies from being noticed. Some bases can seem overwhelming with so many enemies scattered about but if you take your time, pay attention, learn their patterns, you can always find a way to take them all out quietly.

A real marine doesnt work alone, runs through a large complex with many corners or use a loud shotgun or even a sniper rifle. But im sure you meant the gameplay is great and fun to watch.

The editing in this video was spot on. I wish I had that skill. I also wish I had the skill you have in this game.

I subscribed as soon as I saw the previous video of this game which was the first video I saw of yours. I love your editing and how just clear cut you are. No theatrics or over exaggeration! Just play a game and narration over the top. I love the intro by the way then how it cuts into your icon and then narration! That was most enjoyable and very smooth! You said about being immersive with your videos. Delivered. You just feel like a breath of fresh air. No BS, no dressing it up! Just straight forward, super great editing and just calm and enjoyable. Plus you know what you are doing and pick the lines with analysis and strategy and as an autistic analyst it just ticks the boxes!
