Ah! That hoof looked rough at first! I also like your audience in the background! Fantastic video, Jake!
Oh my! I’m such a sot! Watching so intently, I blew the hoof “sand” away when you were buffing the hoof after showing. Sheesh!
Ahh - the classical sound of riding lessons in the background... 😂
It's been awhile...LOVE the new vids😎
True craftsmanship

Hey I had a question, does the excess length at the sides of the heel of the shoe make is more possible to catch and be pulled off? I've heard this is normal if you trying to widen the heel? Nice work, very satisfying video, thanks for uploading :)
아주 멋진 신발이네요~^^
Fantástic!
I watch ur guys vids before I go to bed it's so satisfying! I have a question, does it hurt? When it's being taken off? Just a question love ur guys vids:>

That sounds really odd out of context, but your right. Its awesome!!
Jo bhi ho acha content hai !!
Were the little rivets at the back of the horseshoe so that when the mood strikes the horse could do a little soft shoe routine. Or perhaps even a little tap dancing.

do horses feel the heat of the horse shoe when its put on and have you ever accidentally burnt yourself on the
Wish you would show the animals that you are working on.....ya know put a hoof to a face!
I have a question Does it require training the horse to allow you to do this? Also love your vids, keep up the amazing work!!!

Yes, it does need training. A lot of people nowadays start when a foal is a couple of days old by gently getting them used to having their legs touched and the hoofs picked up. The horse needs to learn to balance on 3 legs while you hold the 4th one up to clean the underside. That is done every day so dirt and little stones are removed and don't cause the hoofs any harm. It's also good preparation for when the farrier comes for the first time. Good owners will also get the foal used to the noises that go along with the farriers work like the clicking of the pliers and stuff like that. At first a young horse is often a bit worried about the farrier but with time and a nice and patient farrier they learn the it doesn't hurt and then they relax 😊
I wonder what it smells like when they burn the hoof.
What causes the hooves to be so brittle? Is it just the environment?

The sole gets chalky as it grows out the ground conditions can can accentuate the texture if its dry or wet.
Why don’t u always clean the very middle of frog?
another question. does being a farrier pay well?

Hi dumb question. But do horse shoes look different to tell who the horse belongs to kind of like how people did branding?
@FishLegs4You
2 жыл бұрын
People brand by either burn the leather or use liquid nitrogen to make a mark on their skin
You really should talk and explain what you're doing and why. Not everyone is a horseperson and knows why you are doing something. Best Regards from a Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦

Have you ever cut to far down that it harmed the animal and got in big trouble for it? If so can you tell me it like a story time.
