Imagine if they combined the damage models and breaking of these crashes within a beamNG drive style deformation physics, some of these planes hit the ground way too hard to not have any warping or deformation of the fuselage. Not only would you get the crash, you would get the smoosh of the impact too

@@obiwankenobi- not really. In beamng you kinda fold around things. You don’t actually break apart. A plane doesn’t bend to the point it is in half. It would break up

@@obiwankenobi- no. Not in the way shown in beamng. Metal aircraft are made of many parts, they will break up in a hard crash or when hitting something.

I like how the gunner from the Stuka wasn’t getting out he just okay. “Meh, this is fine I’ll survive” lol

I like the delayed sound based on the observer's position. Adds another layer of realism.

Plane frame metal skins should crumple more when they hit the ground. Great video compilation. IL2 devs do an amazing amazing combat flight sim - no doubt about it.

At around the 6:25 mark, it looks like 2 of the bomber crews chutes tangle and they both fall

The mosquito clip at 2:18 is possibly one of the times that a flight sim has made me tense.

I really enjoy these videos!

how does this underrated game manage to be more realistic than war thunder, who's main point is that they are super realistic

I like the way planes crash in IL2 WW2 way more than the way they do in FC WW1. Don't know what they could do to fix it but that "bouncing like a Super Ball" stuff in FC is crazy.

@@GavinC.S well the B-17 already exists in il2 1946 but only AI can pilot it you can pilot it yourself with a mod that unlocks AI only planes

20yr private pilot and Cirrus SR22 owner, 1st off I do not play these video games and just stumbled on as thought this was a video about real planes. But man the damage model in this game is so unrealistic, seen actual planes hit each other while taxing, fatal and none fatal crashes and they sustained way more damage than these supposed full blown shoot down crashes. Most of these planes would crash into a thousand pieces . But these planes are near indestructible. A B26 stalls a few hundred feet above the ground and it just loses a wing , from each one, looks like the fuselage is indetructable? No offense just saying. The visuals of the actual planes look great though.
