You want to learn survival and Evasion tactics then I suggest going thru a nasty divorce. You'll learn how to escape subpoenas for financial information, evade your spouses family members while divesting yourself of attachable assets and converting same into cash. Finally, you'll learn that a Passport is your ally.

Remember: The escaping can progress as fast as body condition and terrain allow it. In contrast, the searching parties must go slowly in order to stay vigilant and maximise terrain coverage. Thus, try to cross as much distance in the first hours as possible. Then, switch to erratic patterns to further confuse the enemy.

All the techniques shown are pretty accurate although maybe shown in conditions that are "pretty unlikely" and a bit "too optimimistic" as in gear being available etc. Open fire would be an absolute no. But as a start a pretty good series. It is obviously not a "catch all" I did laugh when I saw the white sedan parked at 24:41....

At 21' 00" he is resting under a tree, and appears to be surrounded by Navelwort (those round leaves, also known as Wall Pennywort). Stems, leaves and roots are all edible, and it's a good source of additional water. It can also be used in a healing poultice for wounds.

Whoever made this video has absolutely no business calling this any kind of a survival guide or evasion guide. Firstly, if you are captured you will be stripped of all of your equipment. You WILL NOT have, lock picks, fire starters, food or any semblence of a kit. You will be lucky to even have clothes. The "advice" portrayed in this guide will 100% get you re-captured or killed. The dude may as well have found a Holiday Inn and called it a night.

You could have such items easily concealed inside your rectum. Also, it's easy to improvise lockpicks from almost any thin wire-like metal. The info is still useful despite the low budget. You should use your head before making yourself look like a know-it-all wanker, Donald.

I don't know what kind of rationale this makes but I've noticed a lot of Wars the US has gotten into we always support the South (except for the Civil War) therefore if you're in the North and if you're in enemy territory you should unless you're on a continental divide be able to get into a river and escape to the South via a river? Floating right past your enemies at night time on a log.

The priority is evasion. Once a SERE subject starts shooting he gets captured. If one is in a position where he has to fight he is as good as captured. It also makes the subject more likely to be killed rather than recaptured. SERE teaches you that you are no good to your country dead, but you still have value because it takes multiple bad guys to care for you that could be on the front line fighting against your side. The AK is also weight that the evader doesn't want. Passing up the weapon is the right call.

What a crock of total and utter Bs, do your really think that the hunter forces do not know how to survive out in the bush, forest, snow etc,all the same tricks, so they are going to find you if you go north or south or east or west, thay will have road blocks at each point wheres the nears roads based on those points nearest to your forces, which is why you travel at night always and use the moon and starts to find your way and if during the daylight its about keeping yourself warm or cool and finding food and a shelter full stop? Also very importantly you have to know what to eat and how to eat it uncooked or cooked which the light and smoke will give you away unless you make a shelter which will shield the light of the fire in extreme cold or a snow cave and cover the front with something which you collect during the day? these are basics for those who may get lost while trekking in the woods,. lol :)

Hmmm I really hope SAS train's folk better then this. My personal thot, claymore on chest or 4 grenades. When caught blow all to hell. E&E sounds so good but total bull shite. Very rare to escape and evade. As soldier your job is to kill enemy the more the better, every dead officer is a score. Sacrifice, don't let enemy kill you kill them with your body if need be. Never yeald never surrender.
