A RTC Steam charter from Sassari to Tempio Pausania 91km or 57 miles 950mm gauge with SFS Breda 2-6-0T 3 Nulvi (1930) on 23-05-2002.
The line from Sassari to Palau was completed in 1932 and closed to regular services from Nulvi to Palau in 1997 and then from Sassari to Nulvi in Feb 2015. The line became part of the Trenino Verde network for tourist trains and charters only. Currently however in 2024 the train only runs from Luras to Tempio Pausania 11km but there are plans for a Arzachena to Tempio Pausania service 45km.
The line climbs 359 metres or 1178 feet from Sassari to Fenosu then drops down 72 metre or 236 feet to Nulvi, leaving Nulvi the line drops 397 metres or 1302 feet to Scala Ruia, it them climbs 268 metres or 879 feet to Bortigiadas including a spiral tunnel, it then climbs 214 metres or 702 feet to reach Tempio Pausania.
