Saramonic SR-R1 Recorder Review and Test - Compared to Tascam DR-10L

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I review and test the Saramonic SR-R1 belt pack audio recorder. It can record in stereo, which is a relatively unique feature, but is it otherwise any good? I do some comparisons to a Tascam DR-10L as well.

Great review. Within 7 minutes, I knew this wasn't going to be an option for me. Missing several seconds between files is a definite deal-breaker here.

Hey! Love your videos man, and ik you have a hella lot of knowledge on cameras. I was wondering if you have any advice on a good camera I could buy? I've been wanting to make videos w/ a camera, but the only camera I have is garbage. So I was wondering what you think I should try? For the types of videos I'm planning to make, think commentary videos like Danny Gonzalez and stuff like that. I might do other stuff in the future, but mostly just that. Also, microphone on the camera isn't that big of a deal, since I've got a good ext. one. So if you have any good cameras you could recommend, that would be awesome! For price range, obviously cheaper would be the best. But the quality is my TOP priority and I can make most prices work. Mostly stuff like good focus control, not grainy, general just like that Tysm man, you are a legend and keep up the great work king 👑 ❤

For videos like that, sitting in front of the camera, lighting will be important as well. At that point, pretty much any modern, mirrorless camera would work. There are tons of good options. I use mostly Sony these days, but there are good options from other brands as well. I know you say you are flexible on price, but do you have a price range in mind? Cheap for some people might mean less than $1000 or it might mean less than $300, depending on the person. Right now it looks like some options from Panasonic are on sale. Something in the Sony A6000 series would work, but some of them are better than others. Canon has a bunch of newly released "R" cameras at reasonable prices, but I haven't looked into them all that much yet. The Nikon Z30 would be a good option as well.

Hey, thanks for the recommendations! I checked out the cameras you sent me, and they are a little outta my preferable price range. If there is anything around 500 or less that you know of that would be great! But if not, then $200 extra isn't the end of the world. Thanks 🙏

I'm waiting for the Deity PR-2 to be released. Was supposed to be out last June but now it's April 24. Looks cool and very small.

@@bigtb1717 The PR2 looks good, but now that the new Zoom H1e has been announced (the 32bit replacement for the H1n) I'll go for that instead as my everyday carry recorder to replace my old H1n. It's only 100 bucks and should be available in 4-5 weeks. No idea what Deity are playing at, because the PR2 should have hit the market almost a year ago. PR2 only goes up to a max of 32bit 48kHz too, whereas the H1e goes to 32bit/96kHz. So my mind has been made up already.
