    I have a Blink 500 B1 and wanted to use it with zoom on my iphone 11, so instead of the big expense of buying the RXDi, I thought that I would be able to buy a saramonic TRRS to lightning microphone and headphone jack adapter. It arrived and I couldn't get anything working. Watched your video and it still didn't help me, but on reading the comments below, I noticed a comment about the cable having two right angles and ha ha! I had the wrong cable plugged in. Thank you for helping me resolve my problem! For info the RXDI was £95, the cable was £12.50. One happy bunny!

    Great lav setup. I own the double lav system and it really does work great. I use it with my XT4. Clear rich sound. The lavs have never once in-paired. Turn on and go every time.

    Dear Sir, I have a question for you. I bought a Blink 500 B2 set ( 2 Microphones and one receiver). If I buy one more receiver (Blink 500 RX), can I pair it with one of the two microphones I have, so that I can use 2 separate microphone-receiver sets?Thank you so much

    Hello Gianfranco, Absolutely. You can pair it with one transmitter or two transmitters from the original system. But keep in mind that you cannot pair a transmitter to two receivers simultaneously.

    I bought the Blink500 B4 to connect with my Iphone 7. I works fine in a recording APP, but when I go live in Facebook there is no sound from the microphones. Can you help?

  • @PhotoVideoEDU

    First, turn off any application that is currently being used on the iPhone. Then plug in the Blink 500 RXDi receiver and turn on the transmitter or transmitters. Then start the Facebook app and the Facebook live session on the app. Otherwise the app does not recognize it as an external mic. The light should turn solid blue on the receiver. Do a quick test Stream where you are speaking into the blink transmitter’s microphone or the lav microphone if that’s connected, Tapping on the microphone itself a few times. Stop the Facebook stream within about two minutes at least play back the session to you hear if the audio was recorded. If you do this quickly enough your followers won’t have a chance to pick up on the live stream test and you can watch the recording quickly and then delete it. Make sure you remove the blink receiver before you playback otherwise you won’t hear it because your phone will think you have lightning headphones connected. Normally this is the step that people miss that causes it not to work. Please give that a try and let me know if you are still having problems.

    I've connected this to my iphone and can appreciate a true improvement in quality. When I connect it to my Nikon z50 however there is interefence, distortion and some hissing. Any idea what I can do on my Nikon to fix this? I've tried moving my other electronics away, played with the volume on both the transmitter and my camera, but the quality never gets anywhere near your video or as it is on my phone? Thank you

You can buy 2 Blink 500 B2 systems and a Saramonic AX1 mixer to input both receivers to your camera or device. @@PhotoVideoEDU Rode VXLR 3.5 mm TRS female to XLR male adapter

  • @PhotoVideoEDU

    @PhotoVideoEDU

    2 жыл бұрын

    It should not be a problem using that adapter, unless your camera requires a phantom powered source, but I cannot see that happening. *1st make sure you are using the proper output cable: the TRS to TRS (right angled on both sides), this may be the issue. I have a few of the Rode VXLRs myself, but not your camera. The adapters had worked fine for sometime and then became problematic and noisy for me. I have switched to the Rode VXL+ and VXLR+Pro since, as well as my handy Saramonic C-XLR and C-XLR+ adapters, which will work better. I cannot make sure that that's your problem, but I might suggest contacting BlackMagic support and asking them what might cause this issue. I am very sorry about the delay in my response, I just saw this.

  • @PhotoVideoEDU

    @PhotoVideoEDU

    Жыл бұрын

    The receiver's output can be connected to a mixer's 3.5mm input using the included TRS cable, or its XLR input using a Saramonic C-XLR adapter (sold separately). You can connect the transmitter to the record output of a mixer using a 3.5mm cable, but since it designed for mics you will have to lower the input level significantly to make sure you do not overload the input. Hope that helps.

    Yes, if your computer has a TRRS headphone port you can use the TRRS output cable into your headphone port and record the mics from the computer's input. You can check you computer's spec to see if it has a TRRS headphone port. If your computer has a dedicated 3.5mm mic in, just use the TRS cable into the mic in.

    Hello, I purchased the blink 500 b-2 to use with my canon 80d. I have not been able to get it to work and after watching this video I think it’s because I did not get a trs output cable. The cable you show has 2 straight ends. I received two separate cables, one had a straight end, and an end with a right angle. The other had two right angles and neither of them worked. Am I doing something wrong? Edit: I figured it out. Didn’t plug it in all the way

  • @PhotoVideoEDU

    @PhotoVideoEDU

    3 жыл бұрын

    You got the right cables in your package. The cable with the two right angles is the TRS to TRS cable. The cable with the right angle and the straight end is the TRS to TRRS cable. For your camera you want to use the TRS to TRS cable, right to right. When using a smartphone, tablet or modern computer you want to use the TRS to TRRS cable, right to straight with the right angle going into the Blink receiver. This is most likely your problem and many people have this problem with using the wrong cable or the wrong side. When using your camera make sure you're using the right angles are right angle. If you are still having trouble, please call us or email us here and we will help you out very quickly: support@saramonicusa.com or 914.347.3302
