When Andrea Bocelli 's mother was pregnant with him, she got very sick and her doctor told her she should have an abortion because the baby would be damaged from her illness. She chose not too and we are all blessed by that decision.

I used to babysit this little boy my friends adopted from Korea and he was just a toddler, but every time I played this song he would stop whatever he was doing, lie on his tummy, prop up on his elbows and rest his chin in his hands and just smile! Only to this song! It was so cute! But, as much as I love this song, I never thought it would apply to my life and make me so sad as my husband left a few months ago. Now it breaks my heart . But still...awesome to see someone else appreciate it😊

I second that. Do it. It’s a cultural experience you’ll not only never forget, but you’ll want to repeat it again. Blow away your wife/girlfriend/date and buy tickets to the theatre and just tell her to wear the classiest dress she has then watch her melt.

First heard this song at a Barnes and Noble with the head phones on. I cried, still brings tears to my eyes. Saw Sarah Brightman in concert in 1999, what a performance she gave. Would love to see Bocelli in concert at the arena in Verona where everyone brings their own candle to light the way.

This was written for Sarah by her then husband Andrew Lloyd Weber. He wrote "Cats" and "Phantom of the Opera" among other shows. Weber really knows how to show off Sarah's vocal range. I also love how Sarah brings Andrea out so that his blindness isn't obvious. That is sweet.

It is a wonderful song. But it was not written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for Sarah Brightman. Con te partiro (Time to say goodbye) was composed by Francesco Sartori for Andrea Bocelli. He sung the song 1995 at the Sanremo festival and published it on his Album 'Bocelli' 1996. After this in 1997 they made the bilingual version 'time to say goodbye' with Sarah Brightman

When we first saw Andrea Bocelli in concert it took us a few minutes to realise he was blind. Saw him in concert in Perth, West Australia, and he is amazing!

Opera is a form of theatre. It’s separate from musical theatre and is a key part of western classical music tradition. A song is opera if it comes from an opera otherwise it’s classical.

You have to check out the best vocalist from down under John Farnham singing the Beatles song "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. His vocals are crazy and he's an entertainer, the way he interacts with the crowd is awesome. John Farnham is an Aussie icon .

Quite an accomplishment when this came out -- for an Italian semi-operatic singer with the magnificent soprano Sarah Brightman to actually chart on the Rock Charts worldwide with an Italian love song. When I heard this on my favorite rock station I was blown away. Miracles do happen.

So so happy to know that the amazing Andrea Bocelli is alive & such an incredible singer, his blindess is irrelevant to him, genious, as Sarah Brightman is too.

Imagine sitting in an open amphitheater, on a clear night, sipping on your favorite drink, with the symphony playing and hearing them perform live...I would ugly cry.

I love this version. People say she 'warbles', but I like her voice, and especially the way she tries to reassure a very nervous and very blind Andrea Bocelli. Beautiful!
