Sara Cox’s Laws of the Game

Спорт

Scaz & Mo are Elma-less again, but this time, they’re joined by the trailblazing referee, most capped female match official, & newly awarded MBE, Sara Cox.
With the new Whistleblowers documentary, Hollie Davidson’s Men’s Six Nations appearance & Aimee Barrett-Theron’s viral ‘I'm not mad, just really disappointed’ moment, refereeing is all over our news feeds right now.
Coxy sheds light on how tough it can be in the middle with such grey areas in rugby’s law book, how much she loves coming into England camp to work with the Red Roses & her FIVE hour long kangaroo court session in New Zealand two years ago.
Season 4 of The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby is in partnership with Vodafone UK.

Sickening to hear about the abuse. For me seeing Sara's name down as a ref on any game really cheers me - as know that game is going to be allowed to flow. She's one of the very best

10/10 episode - epic shift from Scaz & Mo. Sara is an awesome guest, ref & human, stacks of insights, bloody hilarious & the game is a better place for having her ref in it!

Does Sara's humanity stretch as far as Gaza and the slaughter of thousands of civilian children and women, given her status as MBE?

Great episode, I love that in rugby, players can sit down with refs and have a discussion which is not only open and honest but fun and that respect is shown between the players and the ref. I can't imagine this taking place with premier league soccer/football players and refs. Great work Scaz and Mo, that person who sometimes presents can't remember her name😊 better get back soon or she won't be needed, 10 out of 10 for this show, well done.

Great chat. Just needs that Whistleblowers documentary to be screened more widely to highlight the issues faced by refs/officials.

I'm guessing this was filmed before the event, but, was hoping the "I'm not mad with you, just disappointed" ref's comment from the U20's Eng V Wal game might have come up in discussion.

Excellent episode! Thanks so much to Scaz & Mo for a brilliant interview with Sara. Really interesting and entertaining. Was sickening to hear of the awful abuse that she has received - what is wrong with people? It's just a bloody game!

Think that rugby referees have one of the hardest jobs in sport. I am amazed that they have the guts to go out there and do the job. I know if I was to give it a try I would end up trying to send the crowd off!

Sara is a real beauty with a good sense of humour! As a rugby fan I have no worries if she is the ref at my teams matches! What would have been interesting to find out though (& Scaz/Mo slipped up not asking this) what happens to refs at their gatherings when mistakes are pointed out to them! What's their punishment? How many mistakes are allowed before they lose getting appointments etc or end up running the line again? Always great to hear rugby chat & behind the scenes stuff - keep it coming & thanks!!

People really need to take a long hard look at themselves making comments like this. These people really need to be held accountable!!!! Keep up the good work 👏

Just watched the final again and NZ dominated and there was nothing that Sara got wrong that effected the game's outcome. It was a well-controlled game. Being a rugby Ref is very hard and no ref ever goes out to ruin a game. Sure, we make mistakes but so do players and coaches. Sara is a great ref and needs to be applauded and praised for what she does. Nobody deserves the type of abuse Sara described for doing a job.

The 'Empire', of which Sara Cox is a 'Member', continues to abstain from voting for a ceasefire against the genocide bneing committed in Gaza. In her role as an 'referee', how would Sara care to adjudicate today?
