Santa Claus Airbrush painting tutorial using createx colors on canvas.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a painting tutorial using an airbrush painting Santa Claus on an 18x24 canvas. This is a how to technique video designed to help learn techniques rather than paint this particular painting. of course feel free to paint this image. I was sent this picture and asked to paint it so I do not know who is the original artist. This was a preprimed canvas and I did nothing to prepare it in any way. A smoother surface may be easier however most quality canvases can be painted on directly if you can work with the weave texture. If I were to be heavily erasing I would need to gesso first.

we all are at different places on this journey. All that matters is trying to be better than yesterday. Sometimes you may even regress when learning new techniques and that's ok too. I paint under a dealine often now and that can suck the fun out of it. So the important thing is to find your happy spot, and just commit to doing a little every day. (i say that knowing full well ive taken months off before)

I’m slammed with Christmas paintings but as soon as I can get caught up I fully intend to being much more regular with content this year. So the odds are very high

I wish that your painting was able to be scanned and printed on cardstock. It would make a nice image for the front of a Christmas Card.

I have a couple original paintings i was hoping to get converted to a christmas card. However they are large and getting them scanned and pdint ready is pretty costly.

There is an original photo somewhere. I was sent a copy of it and asked to paint this for someone. So I do not know where the original is.

Fantastic guide! You explain everything so well! I paint with a very similar teqnique and sometimes i struggle with graphite marks that are still visible when the painting is otherwise done. Any tips on how to cover them up? Do you just keep adding paint until the pencil marks are gone?

if im working with opaque paint ill just cover them. If im working with transparents i usually will erase them out as I work if I have to. I try and keep pencil marks only to darks.. of course sometimes it doesnt work that way. I used to run some longer videos, but I found long ago few people are willing to watch a 1.5 hour video. No matter how many techniques you are showing. I still struggle with balancing how much to put in a video. this was 4 hours of video wittled down to 15 minutes.

Thanks for the tips! The shorter time frame is much more bite sized and I think you did a great job showing all the highlights and important bits on this video! @@TheAIRspace

heck you cant lose with it. There is a link in my description. Rechargeable means it has more power than my derwent and sakuras I usually used. And it came with a lot of tips. Honestly it wasnt much more money to buy this than buy the refills.
