Heart, hope, and science--just what SCAD survivors need! On April 22, 2023, SCAD Alliance and Dr. Esther Kim, Director of Women's Heart Health at Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, co-hosted a SCAD Patient Symposium to bring the current science of SCAD and associated conditions to more than 80 survivors and their families. We also conducted three breakout sessions to help address the unique concerns of patients and their caregiver family and/or friends. It was amazing day of learning and fellowship.
