Sandspits is for sure my favorite wave to watch, i've scoured the internet and watched pretty much all the footage I can find from it. Oh how she grinds, and how she lurches, and how she SPITS her guts out at you. Ive had many dreams of riding that barrel. This socal tube experience will eventually climax and lead me out there, from the boggled backwashed takeoff all the way to the dredged slabbing inside section. I wanna get slammed into the sand and have pebbles in my ears for weeks after. One day, i'll drive up and score the vision of my life. Mad respect for all the SB shredders who absolutely rip this mutant to pieces.

i think ill start crying if we get a day like this next year. been too long...

Awesome wave...hasn’t changed in 50 yrs...the crowd has,all great surfers the locals.yes they are.

Not only do you need to survive the initial drop, the wave and then multiple guys dropping in on you or at least crushing the shoulder... True congrats when you make it through.

Bc there’s 3 takeoff spots at spit. 1st by the rocks “ Elevators” , 2nd about half way down “ Throats” , and the 3rd at close to the end “ Leftovers”.
