Fingers crossed for some better conditions in 2024! We were royally skunked this year. There were definitely some good days in there, but overall it has to be the worst year I can remember. What does El Nino mean for waves around the world? Is there a general trend we can anticipate?

Something is not right if a surfer can be crowned world champion without perform at all (fear or lack of confidence or skill) in big dangerous hollow waves like pipe and teahupoo

Imagine the best waves from around the world from the past year not on tour from Nate Florence, Russel Beirke, skeleton bay, shipsterns, Tahiti, Ireland etc You know which one showcases surfing better and it's not this dribble from the WSL

WSL is a straight joke… full year of the “24 or whatever best surfers” surfing the “best spots” and this is all they produce? See more sick rides at a single session at pipe or chopes on average days. WSL the worst thing thats ever happened to surfing commercializing a sacred and traditional polynesian activity just propogating colonialism and unnecesary aggression and egos in the water
