Motortrend is without a doubt the best automotive youtube channel, not only because of the great car reviews and road tests but because the hosts have personality and they make you want to watch what comes next!

A lot of people who haven't been to Pismo Beach don't realize how much fun it is. Awesome weather, right on the ocean and beautiful scenery. And when you go during the week its empty. During the weekend it can be dangerous due to large crowds, so keep that in mind. But glad to see it was mentioned in a WOT episode. Keep up the good work Jessi and MT.

That's a tough question, but I may have to say the road. I'm currently trying to master the art of drifting, and I love the way the consistency of the pavement allows me to do ridiculous things with the car-- versus off-roading, in which I deal with ridiculous terrain and attempt to keep the car stable. Okay MT, while it was lots of fun watching Jessi get tossed around while she giggled and laughed, I have to say, I watch these videos because I want information on cars AND I want to be entertained. Sadly, this video only satisfied one of those two attributes I look for in your videos. That is to say, I didn't actually learn anything about the vehicle, and I have no idea if the Rubicon is even a particularly good vehicle for this kind of activity. Just my opinion. Thanks for the video!

Yep, been there, done that, and I too had a great time. I've never tried to catch air in my 2006 Rubicon Unlimited because the Dana 44 axle tubes are not reinforced and will bend however, in the soft sand of Pismo, I got that bad boy off the ground big time with no damage. I believe we cleared 25 feet at about 3 feet off the ground coming out of one of the bowls.

Hahaha she has the same reaction I had when I was first doing donuts and power sliding, uncontrollable laughter. Epic fun!

now that looks fun! gonna have to do that one day

Looks like a blast. I sometimes wonder how the Jeep has ballooned to almost 2.5 tons. It is still fun and reasonably priced. Jeep next generation put this puppy on a diet. Chrysler sales as many as they can build and it still has no real modern competition in this price range. The Raptor is a beast also at twice the price. I love the fact the Americans rule this segment.

like any other terrain sand could cause damage to your vehicle if you lack the skills or if your vehicle lacks the proper equipment and mods. for moderate sand wheeling (no jumps, no bowl driving, no high speed maneuvers) the damage could be minimized to having the sand sucking dry your joint grease and getting into important car components like joints, rubber bushings, brakes..etc. so always keep it well greased and well lubed always wash ur undercarriage after every trip to the dunes
