@mallka83904 жыл бұрын
So relieved to have been born in the 70s and a teen in the 80s. We were so lucky to have music like this. I despair at the dross released today and I really do try to have an open mind on it. It's just so bland and without tune or originality. Terence Trent D'arby was just one of a long line of talented 80s artists.

ylekiote99999 He was a UK based singer. MJ and Prince were two different beasts. He was more popular in Europe than America. There were other great artist too. Phil Collins, Genesis, Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, The Cure, Pet shop Boys amongst others. You had also one time hit artists. But TTD was a another beast in himself. He came out of the lot for sure. Always been my favorite since "sign your name". 1987

ylekiote99999 it was because the 2nd album didn't hit it. Too many hangers on in his ear and too much freedom from the record company combined to produce something fairly inaccessible but for the Hardline alone TTD should be hailed as a genius

His name is Berry Gordy and he ran Motown until last year. Motown was very much still active in this time period. And also he was a rip off snake so he would have probably taken all of TTD's royalty's and fucked him over big time.

Here we go again. 'Mozart is seriously underrated'
This is the singular example of a record company f*ucking the career of an artist over legal disputes. TTD should have been a global superstar for many years. The hardline according to was one of THE best debut albums of all time. So many good songs, brilliantly performed..
His songs never sound old,but they do pre-voke old memories, beautiful songs.
His voice is pure POWER!!!
he was beautiful and sang very well " Miachel Jackson y Sanando Maitreya los mejores"

The most brillant, unique and SOULFUL vocalist of the 80s. Full of charisma and creative dancing moves, TTDA/Sananda Maitraya is ONE OF A KIND and criminally UNDERRATED.

Good time to be a young teen x
great artist. great dancer. so sensitive and colourful
Music being what it is today and being from the 90's I'm glad I like 80's-90's more than todays music. THIS is music
So relieved to have been born in the 70s and a teen in the 80s. We were so lucky to have music like this. I despair at the dross released today and I really do try to have an open mind on it. It's just so bland and without tune or originality. Terence Trent D'arby was just one of a long line of talented 80s artists.

To be honest, even people born in the 80s, 90s and later can tell that today's music is generally crap.
This voice and performance is everything ❤

ylekiote99999 He was a UK based singer.

Still amazing. Never get tired of listening to Terence. Always gives me that feel good factor

Gotta give it to Terence though, he rocked the mic hard on this stormer. The 80's strike again. Sing it.
Been looking for this song for months, heard it on the radio couple of times but never remember what it was called just remembered the chorus. Finally found it 🤤
Happy Birthday Sananda🏴❤️

My man...TTD or Sananda Maitreya as he is now known....one of the most underrated and under appreciated talents of all time...a phenomenal singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist...i met him in Italy a good few yrs ago now n he was also a top guy...his missuz was lovely too...smokin hot n very sweet...i hav nothin but love n respect for this guy n his family...much love to u Sananda, u continue to soundtrack my life and inspire me to be a better person til this day...love u brother x
Omg. I've just fainted from all the talent
I put this song on repeat...hearing it one time is not enough😊❤
I used to listin to him in the 80s hes brilliant 💙😀✋
The way he dances and sings always got me going, the way he could do the splits and get straight back up again, he was like a wonderful human spring just springing around, amazing. 👏👍👍💞👄
I searched for years for this peace of heaven and only to find out that this Angel of a man sings this
2019....don't care what his name is now. Timeless. Pure Genius 💓
Sananda Maitreya absolutely nailed it on this track, no doubt about it! That banger right here got me hyped like crazy, bangaa! I ain't even trippin' if Sananda Maitreya used *authentic* *views* to get that mad exposure and get the ball rollin'. Truth is, plenty of other artists be doin' the same thing, Keep slayin' those beats!
Giving off MJ vibes for sure. Love it ❤.
Cara ,que explosão de pura adrenalina, aposto que Prince e Michael, ficariam olhando um pro outro e falariam, " o cara manda bem"
It would have rocked the world if Sananda and Prince worked together.
I went on holiday to Crete and I took his tape with me and played it all the time and yes tape no cd then xx
If Gordy Berry/ Motown was still active in the 80 ' s this man would be the superstar he deserved to be.
@jfc4798

His name is Berry Gordy and he ran Motown until last year. Motown was very much still active in this time period. And also he was a rip off snake so he would have probably taken all of TTD's royalty's and fucked him over big time.
Simply a rare great "soul" song from the late 80's.
Could listen to him all day ❤
Prince, Michael, James Brown rolled into one stunning man. His voice is beyond brilliant. I loved him back in the day. I don’t know how he didn’t stay at the top of the top. Absolutely amazing.

Magic memories as I have been paralysed from the neck down for 16yrs and they're fond memories of my youth
Great voice. underrated.

Une voix magnifique, une élégance . Compositeur, musicien et danseur. Pour moi un des meilleurs
An all-time classic for the classic year of 1987
fabulous megastar since 80s until 2020s !!
he is not underrated, he is out of commercial business in music, doing his own

He is beautiful and talented. A wonderful combination, only 9 years ago, means nothing what he has is is immortalized in stone.
Love love love this guy So talented and good.looming Definitely one of my favourite artists of all.time
He's like in his 20s in this video such a Gifted Voice
Had the pleasure of seeing him live at the Colston Hall in Bristol. One of the best gigs I ever attended. Brilliant. I don't think he tries to be MJ at all.

I worked at a major record label in the late 90s. A senior colleague and part time DJ said she thought Terence Trent D'arby was the greatest artist to come out of the 80s. I remember thinking she was slightly crazy considering the calibre of 80s artists. Only now I can see what she saw back then. This guy was the whole package.
Came up in my head this morning. Always an amazing number 👍🎶🎶
I love this song
