Purdy is better on almost every metric, hes just not as fast, but he still moves with the ball out the pocket better than Lance does, Lance gets sacked in situations we've seen Purdy turn into first downs or TD passes

@@robreetoLance is not faster than purdy. We saw lance run last year lineman can keep up with him and D tackles ran him down. He was averaging like 3yds a carry. He wasn’t a good runner one bit. He never once looked like his comp Josh Allen and was not nearly as fast as Lamar, hurts, Danny dimes or fields either. And without confidence good luck getting him to run flat out now Lance only advantage is a rusty cannon without sights. He can heave it into lower earth orbit just don’t expect it to be anywhere near where you need it.

You are seeing the truth, at least on Game Day. Purdy plays a more experienced style of play and has quicker feet in his first 5 yards. Someone researched how many passing plays Purdy has compared to Trey in college, and it was 411% more passing attempts in college. Over 500% more passing attempts in high school. Trey should have stayed in college. More fun and more time to develop his skills. He made millions leaving college early, but his long-term career is going downhill fast.

Trey lances td is a perfect example of why stats aren't a great representation of how well a player performed

It’s just like Baker. He throws the worst interceptions. So many times he gets lucky. Definitely a reason Baker can’t stay on any team.

Lance wasn’t ready to be drafted especially 3rd overall. I’m not taking anything away from him last year due to his injury, but his inexperience is showing. I want him to succeed don’t get me wrong, but he should know the system well enough by now to have transitioned well enough for the pros. With that being said, I still have hope for him. This loss means nothing though. Go Niners!

I know it's preseason but my biggest positive as a Raiders fan is the fact that the defense looked to be playing in a system that they comfortable in. Last year, even during preseason, players would often look confused/frustrated because they were thinking about assignments instead of just reacting. We'll see if that means anything at full game speed with the season starts but it's very encouraging that players were tracking the ball well and were hardly out of position to make a play. Again, it's preseason but at the very least they are learning lol.

Man o man, i pray the starters stay healthy this season. I wasnt on-board with trey drafting especially that high but i still defended him and wanted him to have a chance. I know the 2nd string oline was horrible too. John and kyle should definitely addressed the tackle position after what happened the end of last season.

I was there and as a Raiders fan it was an awesome first game to go to

I realize this is the preseason, but the Raiders look like a completely different team from last season. A strong pass rush with a cohesive and deep defense, quick decisions and mistake free play from the QB (both). Such a 180 I'm not even sure what to make of it.

Uhh, how about nothing? It's preseason, all back ups were in. Don't expect that same thing with the starters in the regular season. That QB the Raiders got looks like a decent back up so far though, but again it's only 1 pre season game. Remember how the raiders did last preseason? Then remember how they did in the regular season? Don't get too excited from a preseason game.

People won’t realize what a boost just dumping Carr will be. The defense won’t have to constantly be on the field.

I know its just the preseason but O'Connell might be the steal of the draft. Throws a good ball, accurate,fast release..... we went from DC wearing #4 to AOC rocking #4 and the defense looks much improved from last year. Again, i know its only preseason but this gives me hope

Yeah, it’s too early to call him a bust, but I don’t see anything they could have seen that revealed such uniqueness. He’s not particularly big or elusive, nor has a raw pass that looks like it’s going to be Marino-like. I just don’t see what merits giving so much up to draft him. Why was he a better prospect than Justin Fields? I just don’t get it 🤔🤔🤔

Purdy has looked worse in training camp against the raiders starters

Between Lance and Zach Wilson, maybe it’s time for execs to reconsider high draft picks on QBs.

I don't like hating on my own guys, but we've been giving Lance the benefit of the doubt for a while now. Preseason doesn't matter in terms of record, so it wouldn't hurt to play him as much as possible. If he still fails to develop, his future is pretty clear from that point forward.

Bro exactly one of the announcers said he was holding for too long went back to make sure I wasn’t tripping I wasn’t he had legit maybe a second and a half to make 3-4 reads and throw the ball and I’m being generous with that time like as soon as he snapped that ball he had 3 raiders players hands on him
