Greetings from Redondo Beach CA 🌷🌼 I grew up in SFLU. There used to be a big grocery/market named MarMod that my family used to own in the late 60’s until the 70’s. Also, my Chinese grandfather was one of the sponsor in the development of Macho Temple in the early 70’s. Hello to all CKCians batch ‘83. I remember Ms. Jessica Soho attended the same school and her batch is 3 years ahead of mine. When you visit this town again, try the Singaporean noodles at Yukee’s Eatery. Mabuhay!

Last time I saw San Fernando/La Union was 1978. It's unrecognizable now. I was stationed at Wallace Air Station from 78-81.

@ 6:33 mark... this is my favorite Palengke pala! I ride my bike here from Biday (malapit CSI) After surfing in the morning the fresh fish comes off the boats after 2pm or so. (Filipino timing siempre)

Those useless footbridges are eyesores and ruined the beautiful view of the downtown San Fernando. Nung wala pa mga yan, ang gandang tingnan ang plaza, especially if you are standing in the northwest corner of Ortega St and Quezon Avenue intersection. Makikita mo yung La Union Capitol sa tuktok ng bundok. Pero nung itinayo nila yang mga footbridge, pumangit itsura ng downtown San Fernando at parang sumikip pang tingnan. Tapos hindi naman ginagamit ng karamihan. Buti sana kung 4 lanes o 6 lanes yung kalsada.

So much pollution smoke and noise. One bad things in Philippines 🇵🇭 roasters and dogs 24/7 unstop 😮 on the positive side vibrant people 😅

Kahit saan lugar maingay alam mong market diyan natural maingay dami tao..dun ka manood sa mga vlog ng mga pipi at bingi sigurado walang maingay..mas poluted sa manila kc halo halo abg tao dun dami pang squater
