@@sirdan357 Your opinion 👍 Mine is that blood sport the movie is probably the best martial arts movie of all time. Yes we had enter the dragon which was absolutely amazing. But blood sport is something very special to me. I spent 18 years of my life dedicating it to martial arts and most was MMA based styles and right in the beginning of the sport when it was called Vale tide, shooto and no holds barred etc. All of which came from my inspiration from this movie. It literally saved my life as a teenager as many of my friends are now dead due to poor life choices. Yes combat sports existed since the dawn of man kind. But nothing compares to this movie in my personal opinion. For that it's an original in it's own right. For that I respect Frank for his creativity.

Not saying I believe Frank, but, I found no reason to really believe his critics, either, other than assumptions about the "veracity" of some of the people. @ 11:15: Frank mentioning that John Keehan was a fellow Kumite winner really doesn't help his case. Keehan, aka 'Count Dante', is a well-known figure in pop culture. Dante used to advertise instructional booklets at the back of comic books which promised to teach the buyer several forbidden killing techniques and amazing physical feats. This raises the question: why would somebody intent on bringing realistic training back to martial arts attach his image to hokey, hyperbolic mini-courses sold alongside Sea Monkeys and X-Ray Specs? There are uncanny similarities between their claims: Count Dante actually did found a Black Dragon Fighting Society, said he could perform the Dim Mak (which was the subject of one of his comic book courses) and founded his own style (Dan-te). Frank most likely took these elements and integrated them into his own story. He was most probably a peer of Keehan/ Dante: both American born and trained martial artists who fabricated amazing stories to set themselves apart from the competition.

VS…You straight up asked him why a secret tournament would have a trophy and the guy obfuscated for 4 straight minutes. You asked politely again and Dux just gave you a new variation on a story he’s been telling for years. So now the Kumite sword has to be sold back to the secret organization by prearrangement and he found out about some organization you could purchase orphans through. Frank is supposedly in the Bahamas with his new ninja sword. He’s just won a secret death tournament which he got a trophy for. He says some people in charge of some organization that helps orphans were looking at his sword and “they liked it”. He then skips to he gave them money to them. Wait…what? Who did he sell this sword to? He suddenly has money to hand over for some orphans. Wait…the Black Dragon society was putting on crap non martial arts fights as kumites and decided to class it up they would add a sword, thus making it about tradition and values…but with a back deal that you had to give the sword back for some quick cash. Simultaneously whenever asked why the secret inner inner circles that are looking for top fighters for the Kumite NEVER approached actual world class fighters like Bill Wallace, Don Wilson, Chuck Norris etc etc it’s always because those guys only “fight for money” unlike his Kumite which is all about honor. Think about that massive contradiction. Literally I have never seen such an obvious case of “what a tangled web we weave…”

Even if the trophy was "a gag", it still doesn't fit into the equation of how "The Kumite" was a secret tournament that no one is supposed to know about. Organizers of a secret tournament don't give the winners of a trophy if they don't want them talking about it. Definitely contradictory. Oh, and if it was a gag, why didn't Dux address that before in his testimonials, interviews etc? Maybe because he was never called out for how odd it was to receive a trophy when the tournament is supposed to be kept a secret? Kudos to Frank at deflecting when you asked about it.
