Samurai Shodown, known in Japan as Samurai Spirits, is a fighting game developed and published by SNK for the Neo Geo arcade and home platform. Released in 1993, it is the first installment in the Samurai Shodown series. In contrast to other fighting games at the time, which were set in modern times and focused primarily on hand-to-hand combat, Samurai Shodown is set in feudal-era Japan (similar to Kaneko's Shogun Warriors which was released the year prior) and was SNK's first arcade fighting game to focus primarily on weapon-based combat.

Fue una sorpresa ver a Hanzo en KOF Maximum Impact 2/Regulation A Lo curioso es que en esos juegos hay una personaje con movimentos similares a Hanzo llamada Nagase. ¿Acaso sera descendiente del ninja Iga? Como dato curioso. El Hanzo Hattori de World Heroes (quien luego aparecio en Neo Geo Battle Coliseum) llegó antes que el Hanzo de Samurai Spirits/Shodown. Tal vez por eso no pusieron a SS Hanzo en Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, seria muy confuso tener dos personajes ninjas con el mismo nombre 😅

That was arcade game, which were all about getting as much coins as possible . What elese did you expect? Also, the MTL of this game is atrocity on it's own.

The speed of the game plays off of the high damage. Besides you can dash back & forth, it aint that slow...
