Fortunately, I received the Samsung case without the defect. I agree with you that it is the ideal use for the z Fold 5. However, I've enjoyed using Spigen Thin-Fit P, not rocking while laying flat on my desk. Hope you get the defect issue resolved.

My blue case does the same exact thing... I even returned one and got a second one, and it did it even worse!

Happened to me too with the blue case which have defective they replaced with the black case and it's great

You can wrap the pen with some tape so it stays secure inside the Samsung case. Mine doesn't wiggle anymore with the tape on

This should not have to be the solution for $100 accessory.

I had the same issue with the blue case. I am now on my second blue case. The S-Pen when stored is loose, but hasn't fallen out yet. Samsung is now sending me an individual S-Pen as of yesterday, but could not guarantee the color. Doesn't anyone at Samsung road test these cases? I don't know if it is a design and/or manufacturing defect. This case would be great if it would hold the S-Pen securely. It is pretty much the same color as the exclusive blue that can be purchased from Samsung only.

Great content. You should try I-Blason clear thin case for the fold5. Or at least look it up. Best protection without being bulky.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Pre-ordered the Slim S Pen case and it had the problem so I've returned it. Now I don't know what to do, because I don't want a bulky case and there are currently no other options. I think I'll wait for another batch of cases to ship and check whether they have a problem

I just got the Samsung standing case with strap. I still have the slim case with the s-pen but I feel ripped of a bit. Fold 5 is my first foldable and I was under the impression that this pen would act like a shutter button and as a remote via Bluetooth just like on the Note 20 Ultra. For $100 that should have been the case (pun intended) So that's why I switched to the folding case which I really enjoy. I guess I am going to have to get the pen they made for the fold 4 at some point.

Question : Is it solid? I'm not planning on dropping my phone huh but as im planning to buy the phone + the black case...i wanna be sure my phone will be safe with eventual shocks

I have a black case. The pen is so tight, I still can barely get the damn thing out. Must be just the blue ones. I ordered the grey one last week, no issues either. I will post another comment in a month to let you know how it's going. I subbed as soon as you said these things aren't cheap. 100 dollars for plastic 😒 In about 4 months it'll go for about $40 on Amazon like the Fold 4 did!

I returned mine to my local Verizon store and got the graphite one. The s pen does not move at all.

mine was warped!!! i Filmed it, its in my video screen protection for Z Fold5, I Fortunately bought mine with Amazon! no ?s asked and returned!!!

Couldn't you just cut a thin piece of electrical tape and put it on the sides of the spen channel? That's my plan when it loosens.

I exchanged the back part of the case with the s pen yesterday and the new one fits much more snug in the cut out for it. Let's see if it stays that way.

Best buy wouldn't exchange mine cuz it was after the 14 day return policy! So I called Samsung and they are sending me a replacement one

Is the case removable? Will the glue strips on front case still function after removing?

Technically, it's removable. But just like anything else with adhesive strips, every time you remove and reapply, it'll become less effective. I bought both the Slim S Pen case and the kickstand/starp case in the dark gray/black color, and since the front piece with the adhesive strips is exactly the same on both cases, all I have to do is swap the rear piece...which doesn't use adhesive strips.

@edwinramos4910 thanks for the answer. I've long since returned the 256GB model and purchased the 500GB model directly from SAMSUNG during the Black Friday promotion. It brought the price down from $1500 to $1300 w/ the memory upgrade for free. I carefully removed the front case, and did minimal damage to the adhesive strips. I was therefore able to replace the adhesive back to its original position. While the case has not moved, from time to time the thin strip running lengthwise by the hinge does come unstuck and shifts slightly when pressure is applied. Pressing down firmly and sliding along the length of this edge of the front casd sticks it back into place.

True the one from Samsung looks so nicer than the ugly Spigen case

Ringke makes a "SLIM PEN CASE FOR Z FOLD4" you can just stick it to the back of your Carbon Fiber Case! $14.99 Thats what Ill end up doing.

The fold4 s pen is "fat" , totally different feel.

Lazy for 3rd party to stick with last year s pen rather the improve their case to take advantage of the new s pen.

The easiest fix without returning is putting a transparent tape to the pen.

Take a piece of clear tape but it on pen problem solved

​@@ayush4493I think it would be better to put the tape on the spen slot with non sticky part on the upside. It will destroy the look of the pen and cover if you apply the tape on spen.

I did put a 2 clear tape on the back on case for the s pen slot... solve my problem 😅
