Electric contact cleaner should eliminate a salt, chlorine or the other contaminant (like in my case) but won´t to fix motherboard. You really need flux to melt contacts. I found this one on when I checked the forums of computer nerds here in Czech Republic and asked them about their favourite flux - maybe you should do the same in Canada. There would be same kind of flux under the different name.

Короче такой же аппарат, не включался. Акб толкнул. Питание на разьеме присутствует. На контактах акб нет. Сделал как на видео. На разогретом флюсе толкнул IC S2D0S03 (контролька заряда акб) и чо думаете ???? ЗАПУСТИЛСЯ цука. Автору спасибо. Like

Standardan kvar kod Samsunga S7 i S7 Edge.Trebas i gornji ic U9005 U9010.Oprezno samo sa konektorom ekrana.

sold the rest on ebay .. The penultimate samsung update for the s7 egde was faulty in Germany .. has pulled the battery empty the new thing better .. but the dead samung s7 harrow so you can not fix it :-(

So how do you put the back back the way it was.....

Hello sir, I watch some of your KZread videos and It's great. I am writing you because I badly need your advice. Some days ago, my Samsung s7 edge handset suddenly crashed. It's not open, just showing some red lines says: Boot loader exception. It didn’t come to download mode. But the main thing is the device internal memory was 128gb. I have important documents there and need rocover those data. There was a warning that, memory almost full. But before I delete some data, this problem happens. Attached screenshots. But it seems like my phone's storage is corrupted, may be it is already deleted. I think, from what technology we have in our country, last option is separate IC/Emmc from motherboard. And try to revover data from it. Do you think, this process will work? I saw your videos about it. I think, my Android version was 5, phone was rooted so may be those data was not encrypted. So it is possible? Or if it is encrypted, is there any chance?? Is there any other way like if i restore that IC/emmc storage in another motherboard, it will work or not?? Hijacking the top comment with an explanation Back when the S7 was made, lead-free solder wasn't (and still isn't) very good. especially for long term applications. The S7 was shoddily made with lead-free solder, which over time cracks and breaks contact between the chip and the board when it heats up and cools down over and over. This person is using soldering flux and hot air to reflow the solder and restore contact between the chip and the board. Does this sound familiar? This is exactly what caused the RROD on early models of the Xbox 360 which required a similar method to repair.

Just replace the motherboard. The board goes on sale for like £35 and its fairly easy to replace it.

that's cuz they're idiots and charlatans. specially the 'authorized warranty & service centres.' most of the technicians there have very limited knowledge, and poor skills and no problem solving ability whatsoever. they're mostly trained on how to remove a board, and put in a replacement. the type of repair in this video is called component level repair. even though your phone problem might be because of one bad solder joint or a bad chip which sells for 50 cents on Ali Express, it's much quicker for these fools to just unscrew the old board, screw in a brand new board and charge the customer hundreds of dollars more.
