And you my friend are a genius with a heat gun! I fixed my SAMSUNG S7 ACTIVE from a dead phone into working again, I did not take apart the housing for the processor on the board, I only applied heat for 10 seconds or less until very hot and then put it back together, it worked. These processors sometimes need a little refreshing. Amazing! Thank you so much! I will be studying on learning how to reflow laptops I have two right now needing it. I also bought a multimeter so I can learn more about current and help diagnose better! Congrats! I truly appreciate it!

I did the same today - and it worked also - i had pulled the phone s7 edge from a PC while it was reading a picture and charging - it tried to restart then had fixed blue light - no response - i left it to die- took like a month - swapped the battery but still no response - i saw this and used my hot air until the solder melted as i touched the big cap next to the chip and it moved a little bit - that was enough - and to my amazement - it now works again - thank u so much -

God bless you mate. I just fix my S7 by your way. Even i was in couple of repair shops and the refuse to fix it because is old and not worth it. I use normal heating soldering iron. I know that is risky and not correct because had risk of overheating but exactly that helps. Before to try this the phone just freeze on the logo. Now everything works. Big respect for your job man 🍺🍻

@@VKEDITZKBFC Its better to invest in heat gun. I actually just touch each chip for 3 seconds with the soldering and leave it to cold. Is very risky. You can kill it forever. Be careful because you can overheat it very easy. But i dont think this is enough. Because i have the same problem again. The phone works for 3 days and this happened again. Fortunately that was enough to download all of my data. After that i just bought new phone.

How did you reattach the RF Shield that you removed at 2:30? What about the back cover, just use heat to reflow the original adhesive? I see lots of disassembly guides but few have the reassembly part. Thanks!

When device sometimes has message screen saying installing system update, bypass it by pressing and holding power button until the device powers on. Hope this helps for future reference.

all I had was a heat gun and just heated it up nicely and it powered up, I'm still dumbfounded, you are the man

that rubber its a thermal pad used to suck the heat quickly from the board. The chips are most likely power supply ic's

You may have gotten a motherboard that is locked to a different carrier then the one you were previously using.

Driver name also the problem that their phone and I asking what what did you put on motherboard

@@MCH92 Honestly sounds like you heated the board too much and bridged one of the solder connections underneath the BGA, hence creating a short on the motherboard.

Can I ask you something please? My Samsung 7 died. It will charge, but it will not turn on. The repair shop said it was the motherboard. I already bought a new phone. It is a Samsung 20fe. I kept the same phone number and the same carrier Rogers. What my problem is is that I lost access to my KZread channel through my phone because I never wrote down the KZread channel password or email, so I cannot get on to my KZread channel without the direct access that I get from it through my phone. Question is: if I fix my motherboard and put in my new SIM card from my new phone will I again have access to my KZread channel? I did make a new channel, but I still want the old one back and am willing to pay money to do so despite my channel being lame and not a money maker.

Dwi Sulistiyo same problem, if stock rom install did not fix it via Odin and you have tried multiple times with full clean rom...then it's a bad emmc (failing) probably of the logic board. But it could be the power management chips but most likely not
