No, they aren't placed in curved monitors. Almost all monitors in the market are made in LCD technology. Screens in S21 are oleds.

Yes super AMOLEDs can be bent though it causes damage to the screen or the touch layer. Bending more than 40/50 degrees can kill the display.

@@toastdeluxe yep exactly on foldable phones you can leave a mark with your nail while on amoleds used in non foldable phones are much more harder for your nail or plastic to do any damage. They are still soft though so they're bendable but they weren't made to be bent so yeah doing stuff like that can permamently damage the screen or the touch layer.
