Thank you so much for showing the bottom of the rear speakers! I have been looking all over for that for mounting purposes.

I just bought the Q990C and it is amazing. The bass is honestly enough for listening to music and when it comes to movie experience, the dolby surround is awesome. I don't really get why people are wanting this for music, this is not a Hi-Fi stereo system, it is a home cinema, this is the purpose of it. I was skeptical as being an analog fan and having many 5.1 classical surround systems, but this is beyond my expectation. GG Samsung.

Some info about the speaker stands much appreciated!!

I put a link to the exact stand in the description. One thing to note though, the bolts that come with the stand may not fit the mounting hole on the surround speaker. You'll need 1/4"-20 threaded bolts. Hope this helps!

Amazing review thanks so much man! & do u think its great in terms of Sports? Like soccer/boxing, olympics..etc.. i buy it specifically for Sports & movies but i didnt open it from the box yet, im waiting for the LG G3 77” to come!.

Yes, it's great for sports. You get immersed in the stadium noise all around you. You will enjoy it.

just buy q990c last week... its really amezing sound bar.. bass also amezing... im comparing side by side jbl bar 1000 nd jbl bar 1300x..jbl has loud bass but not clear high frequncy nd mid frequency...im happy with samsung q990c sound bar

Nice setup. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. I have a question . Were you able to pass the power wires for the surround back speakers through the bracket? is there enough space for this? sorry for my english, i am a french speaking person

Thank you! No, I could not pass the power cable through. I just wrapped it around the stand. The power cable is angled at 90 degrees, so that prevents passing it through the stand.

tape support surround hw990 b ou c et tu auras le lien pour des supports parfaitement adaptés sur le site. j'en suis très satisfait les câbles passent par l'intérieur de la colonne et les pieds sont lourds et très stable.Supports moins haut que le modèle de la vidéo.; à hauteur de tête une fois assis dans le canapé ,perso c'est ce qui me convient.

The best settings depend on the room you're using the soundbar: room size, and acoustics. My advice is to use the smart things app and adjust the sound or let the system to calibrate itself to the room.

My biggest concerns are with the bass and unfortunately you have confirmed them :( I'm listening a lot music and probably that will kill the buy. A have tried q930b and the bass was 6/10. Do you think the bass in q990c is better than q930b?

I don't have the q930b to compare, but based on system specifications, the Q990C appears to be a slightly better system. I don't think the bass would be significantly different, given that the bass drivers are almost the same size.

are your rear speakers in the correct position? It would seem I placed them facing the TV and not the sofa

The rear speakers are supposed to be behind you when watching TV, with the rear front drivers pointing toward your back.

@@nh-tech Hey thx for reply. No question about it being behind but a lot of folks showed the drivers pointing away from you, i.e. Rear L is on your left side while sitting.

@wickywak1 I have seen that, but I don't think that's the best placement, especially for Dolby Atmos content. When certain actions are supposed to be behind you, you miss out on that experience.

how was the sound quality nd its base deep or normal...nd compair to jbl 1300 or q990c which one best

The sound quality is very good. It has very clear mids and highs, but the JBL has better bass performance when listening to music. The Q990C has normal bass, but does Dolby Atmos better than the 1300X. I have made a video on adding a Klipsch subwoofer to the Q990C, which elevates the bass way above any soundbar.

Whats a good price for the HW-Q930C? and is the 990c that much better?

I haven't compared the two head to head yet, so it's difficult to say for sure how much of an improvement the q990c is over the q930c. However, I wouldn't pay more than $800 for the q930c now.

I liked the q990b except it was too bright sound and hurt my ears. I wonder if the q900c fixes that.

Try pressing the small connection button next to the light at the back of the sub and rear speakers. That should connect them to the soundbar

Try updating the firmware if there is any update. If nothing is working, then you probably got a defective unit, and you may need to speak to Samsung for a replacement

The one thing sucks for me, is the standard mode being the best sounding mode in my opinion, but then you are not allowed to use all channels.

Dont Buy samsung Q990c soundbar. This is the verry verry loest Quality. I Buy Samsung Q990c just 2 months ago butt this time is not working. I cheked samsung service centre his saying soundbar mother board is not working. I m verry verry woride about my samsung Q990C Sound bar.This is cheap Quality.

That's unfortunate. If you have a defective board, why don't they replace it for you or give you a substitute system? Since it's only been 2 months, it's still under warranty, and Samsung should fix or replace it for you.

You have warranty. Just get it replaced by the seller. No need to throw dirt at Samsung when clearly the overwhelming majority of people are badly with it. No matter the brand, no matter the price, it just happens that some units will be defective. It's unfortunate, but that's the way things go.
