Same here. Great review. This is my THIRD Fold.

Just got mine this week. Traded in the Note 20 Ultra. I just started taking notes on the Ultra starting this year, and found how useful it was. I loved my Note 20 Ultra, but it was too wide, and I wanted something narrower, and while I do make a lot of typos on the Fold 4, I love its narrow profile while closed. Making annotations and browsing the web on the main screen is such a pleasant experience.

Finally someone who gets what the device is really about I'm so tired of hearing all these other reviews and comparisons to the iPhone and others is just crazy...and i totally agree luv my fold 3 and now definitely am enjoying my fold 4!!

I found I was nodding my head at many of your comments. I have had mine for about a week, and was sure I was going to return it at first. The main screen seemed so small after having the Note 20 Ultra 5g. Just as you mentioned, I began to slowly adapt my way of using the phone and found a comfortable balance between switching screens. It really helped that I could have different layouts on the main screen and larger screen. I now have an almost automatic response to the use of the two screens and suddenly realized the smaller main screen doesn't seem so small now. I'm definitely keeping it and no longer feel I'm missing something. I now understand it's magical design.

The phone is in a world of its own! I got mine for a week and have started to appreciate it for what's it worth without comparison. I like the ability to see my videos in full screen and how the camera on the main display cleverly disappears! I love the ability to also mult-window and do my work while referencing the Web side by side without losing a beat. I love how the Samsung eco-system still works superbly well with the Google eco-system! I love Bixby and Google being there for me anytime! I love this phone!!

From someone who’s iPhone user last 9 years.. I have to put hands down for this phone, just upgraded from my IPhone 13 p/max to this phone and I have to admit regardless the warr and arguments between the IOS vs Android. This device on its own has nailed down any phone on the market at this moment. And as iPhone user I can’t justify anymore £1200 or £1400 for iPhone when each model it’s almost the same.. and if we talk about cameras any DSLR of £700/£900 will eat any phone. So well done Samsung, and well done on this review spot on very good and explanatory video. Amazing 🙏

I moved to this from the Flip 3. Having that device over the past year taught me that I can only have a foldable from now on. Just super convenient to look at the display and decide if it's something I need to open the tablet for. I am not remotely disappointed. The Fold4 is incredible. I love trying new things with it, which is something I find myself doing all the time. Great video.

I completely understand. I feel the exact same way. I had the fold 3, sold it to try ios but I didn't like it. I feel much more comfortable on android with my fold 4. Foldables/rollables will be the future of smartphones.

Exactly Samsung's marketing taught you to only spend An exorbitant amount of money on a phone Which will keep the company nice and rich when they take your money every time they release a new gimmick. So it means, @Samsung has finally reinvented the smart phone with the Galaxy Fold like Apple did with the iPhone. Everyone miss understood the iPhone back then because they didn’t realize that it’s a new category or evolution of a smart phone. This is the best review I ever seen so far.

Hit the nail on the head with this device. I have had mine for a few weeks and it's taken a while to get used to. I have switched between my S22+ and my fold 4 but keep going back to the fold 4 as I discover new uses for it. This review is spot on and that's why I can't reject the fold 4. Well done.

I found that turning the screen in landscape does make it wider . Also it makes the speakers More like a stereo sound. I love the Z fold 4 , because I am visually impaired it makes everything larger for me. Thanks for the review.

When I am on the go, it's an absolute joy to open up pdfs and excel files on the large screen of the fold 4. On my daily commute, the fold 4 has replaced my Kobo e-reader. On the cover screen I keep those favorite apps and widgets that I need to call on quickly. The narrowness of the phone makes it easy for one handed use. And what bulk? The phone sits nicely in my pants/shorts pocket. I find that many of these KZread influencers just nitpick, whine and gripe and think that is what constitute a proper review. Also, yes the crease is there, but for any real user of the device that is a minor thing, if a thing at all. The technology can only improve.

Fantastic review and an equally perfect observation about the Fold and the “rush to judgment” of some other reviewers that don’t take enough time to do justice to the Folds’ capabilities

Nice and honest reveiw. The fold is not for everyone but once you use one and get what its about you never go candybar again. I use mine with a folding keyboard too BUT I have issues with spell checking. In fact my samsung tablet has the same issue. This is the main thing that spoils my experience.

Great video, Z fold 4 come in today. Going from a S20 Ultra so itll be a big change for me but I'm stoked!

I realized I had to surrender what I know about using a "slab" style smartphone. The narrower profile gives me one-handed use without initating a gestures. It is how I get quick things done and gives me more information that the notifications shade. Closed, it feels like a small cordless house phone with the Samsung S Pen case on it. Surprisingly, I really like using it open. The larger screen makes viewing everything better. I love the larger keyboard to message and compose emails. I have big hands. It feels like it was made for me. I have been stopped a few times when I folded the device in public. 4 times it has been referenced as the "Westworld" tablet. "The Westworld tablet is real?!" 😂 I went in the grocery store for a bottle of water. Got stuck in there for 45 mins. over this thing. A crowd gathered and people took pictures. It was a crazy experience!

watching on my fold 4...i am just loving it...i shifted from i phone 7 plus....i used i phone 7 plus for 6 years...now bought fold 4...fold 4 is super fun to use...its a beast phone 🤩🤩🤩

It seems like all the reviewers saying how great this phone is also have iPhones… none of them are willing to make this the only phone. If i could have both I would too but it’s misleading how everyone says they love the fold 4 but also have an iPhone for some reason that says a lot

Hi, you are so right! Coming from a Note 10+, I received my Galaxy Z Fold 4 yesterday and immediately started putting a number of apps such as KZread, Facebook and Google Chrome on the front screen. Then I found out, as you point out, that this doesn't work, because this small screen just doesn't lend itself to it. After seeing your video, I immediately reduced the number of apps on the front screen to apps such as just for the phone, camera, calendar, whatsapp and clock, this works so much better and is much quieter when you open the phone. The inner screen is indeed much nicer to use for the rest of the apps on the large screen, which is why we bought the Fold 4 for after all. So thanks again for the insight you provided, I absolutely agree. Greetings from the Netherlands, Lars

coming from a note10+ to fold 4 , for 2 weeks , it had some learning curve for me. i had to understand which apps works best on which screen in terms of layout ( hopefully app developers will take action on this ). initally i felt this phone was overkill , not to mention the bulk after putting a case on. but as time goes by , i starting to like and adapt better and now i can say , im comfortably using it regardless on cover or inner display. this fold is still a conversation starter , i do once awhile get asked by my close ones, not because of the inner display but it was bulky , like people definitely notice its presence.

I love that about the Fold. I miss the days where having the latest was a conversation piece. Now you have to go with something like the Fold4 to get that.

I came from the oppo find X5 pro ( currently using the fold 4 ) took me a second to get used to but it'd remembering it's more than a smart phone. I struggle with the cover screen due to my hands being to big to use it, but folded out it's something else and it's amazing.

Yeah, I didn't mention Dex because it's not super useful to me. If I am going to sit down at a desk with a larger monitor, I would prefer it be a full PC. Dex is super cool though and I wish it was more useful to me.

@@jeradhilltech I've had my fold 3 for about 6 to 8 months now and am still finding new uses for it. Dex is the newest feature I've been playing with. It makes a really good chrome book like computer out of any TV or monitor. You can also stream Xbox games with Game Pass on Dex. Works perfectly with a blue tooth controller. If they keep going this way by the time the fold 8 comes out it really could be the only device you need for everything.

I use the front screen as my phone and when I have time I open it up to the glorious screen. The swipe text on SwiftKey is great one handed on the cover display. I do have small hands though.

People who say their fold screens just got bad all of a sudden I don’t buy it for a second. I am sure the odd fails like everything else in life but most people have not had problems and I bet you the people who have problems abused the phone somehow and will not admit it

This phone is the business tool not a play toy, its the most expensive phone out there right now, not many people can justify it

@@maverickmig211 I use both on different lines. I gamble and stream all the time so streaming while online live gaming using true multitasking is underrated. I hate how my iPhone limits me to one app at a time.

I love this phone, and gave up the 22 ultra, the best phone of all time. That being said, my issue is the pricing. I got the 512GB upgrade for free, and the S Pen. It should be all Fold 4 phones are 512GB minimum with S pen and $1,500 before trade in Finally, I think most wanted the pen inside the body, me too, but I prefer the battery for now. Maybe Fold 6 for me.. but I have a Caka case that lets me use the pen as a pop socket type grip. I hate wireless charging because it heats my case up, so for now the pen on the outside. I do miss my zoom lol

Good review, the front screen needs to be at least 6.8 inches and remove the middle crease then maybe it will be worth it. Still needs s pen slot

Yeah, Dex is a cool feature but I never found it useful. I prefer staying in Android as I almost never connect to an external display. If I plan to use a larger display, it's a laptop or desktop. Still cool that it exists though.

I love the cover screen it's perfect for airline boarding pass.

Do you know If this device still comes with the 1 year free screen replacement? I got the z fold 4 but forgot if they still do this? And if I'm locked to a carrier. Can I still take it to a samsung store for them to repair it?

Do you think this device would be good for a person who has trouble with eyesight? Small things are hard for me to see .

I absolutely love this phone. After Galaxy Note since the Note 3. It was very difficult to change. Up until 2 days ago I couldn't have been more happy, the only thing really missing is the S Pen versatility inserting into the phone like with the note. That aside, I am now extremely disgruntled. Never in all the years of using the note that I have a problem with the phone. 2 days ago after putting the phone down on the table, coming back a couple of hours later and picking it up to check things, I open the fold and the left side starts flickering and turns Gray. I now have an unfolded half phone. 2 months in. 2 hours on the phone with Samsung care, and Technical support. I'm very unhappy. We will see what You Break I Fix has to say. But I'm already feeling this is going to be traded in on the s23 in february.

@@jeradhilltech the ESPN for the fold for hails in comparison to the note and S Series s-pens. For starters no bluetooth. It's far inferior. I was still willing to accept that until my above mentioned problem with the screen. I'm very unhappy now with this phone and have no confidence in it. I hope your luck is better. I'm blown away that a 2-month-old $1,800 phone can have such a catastrophic failure.

@Netflix Entertainment that is what it's looking like. Hopefully Samsung will be as generous with the trade in package as they were going from my Note 20 Ultra to this z-fold four.

I hate it when they complain about the crease. Please!!! You can't even see the damn crease. Quit complaining about it.

Here are my personal opinions and experiences I have had with this phone. It is my fold phone. I love it. But of course nothing is perfect. I don't have the spen because I had a note 20 ultra and I never used it. I got the phone for media viewing. I actually use the front screen alot I'm typing this or swyping this comment. I don't know about anyone type but it could be the youtube app itself not being optimized for this type of phone but when I am watching youtube and close the phone the youtube app looks all out of whack as far as the subscriptions. Like it over lays with the actual videos. Also wish the phone didn't cut off so much real estate when you zoom in to the videos also if you watch KZread shorts on the main screen it cuts off the top so you are forced to close them phone up get the full video from the top. Other than that I love the phone very good battery and I like how the phone feels folded in my phone while I walk it's narrow.

I am tired, TIRED !! of having the same phone as everyone else, theres no excitement in even purchasing a new iphone anymore because of this. One of my coworkers has a fold 3 ( there are about 3 samsung users at work, another has a z flip, everyone else iphone) and she was also telling me thats why she switched to the fold 3 because she felt thw same way as I did. And she LOVES her device!! she was showing it to me and now Im tempted to get one too !!😅

Are you able to talk on the phone and use the web at the same time with multitasking?

I'm not. I use two devices, business and personal. Android has always been my business line and iPhone my personal. Sometimes I switch back and forth. Having the Apple watch means I can leave the iPhone at home and still get calls/texts while being primarily Android.

Yes it is. I use two devices, an iPhone and an Android phone. One is my personal line and the other business. Most of the time I am carrying two devices but am getting better at just choosing one and leaving the other behind.

Flip 3 to trying iPhone 14 pro, now Fold 4. Once you go fold...

It's almost the same size as the iPad mini.

The reason we call it a "miss", isn't because we don't understand the device; it's because we've seen the Vivo X Fold and the Xiaomi Mi Fold 2 and know that you can have a better, usable outer display, with a true, smartphone aspect ratio, on a high-end, foldable device. They're just lacking North American support and better software because they really don't care about selling to the US.

Bro, i would rather to have 'function over form' first than otherwise The hinge, ip ratings and softwares/ui implementation are more important practically for foldables than cosmetic/aesthetically pleasing

@@c2g1980 there is no such perfect or at least according to what you have described, at the moment. Both x fold and mi fold 2 have their own advantages, but they also come with disadvantages. For me, no matter how good the hardware is, ui/software is more crucial when it comes to larger size gadget such as tablet, and as something as complicated as foldables

@@luthfi1008 the only disadvantage is their software is not US friendly. It's made for the Chinese market. A global Vivo Foldable or Mi Mix 2, would be a game changer.

@@luthfi1008 I've seen software go from crappy to excellent, with a simple update or Rom change. The iQOO 8 Pro to the 9T, is a perfect example. China just doesn't care about the US market, but India will most likely be getting a global foldable, very soon and I'll be there.

Beware of one thing, Samsung Customer Service is amongst the worst in the world so if you have it or are getting one, look after it! That said, I use a Z fold 4 as a secondary device mainly for media consumption and gaming (AMAZING). iPhone has always been my main driver purely for quality and supreme customer care!

it's not misunderstood, it's just too damn expensive.

how many times am i going to hear the words "bigger screen"? that was not a phone review. it was just 100 mentions of "real estate screen". the pictures were extremely terrible. absolutely no level of detail. check the trees. they are just a green blur. I am really considering buying the fold 4 because of the cool factor and the fact that I am always carrying my tablet with me for work... but the cameras on this device are just terrible.

Would buy it now, but I can't get rid of my apple watch.

I've had mine for about a month now coming from the note 20 ultra and have to say this is the best of both worlds work and personal use. I've found that the ability to do what my tablet does for work and media consumption the fold 4 has blown everything out of the water really fantastic phone only complaint is they should have put the s pen inside the phone like the note and s22 that was a step backwards in my opinion

Having a larger s pen actually makes me write more comfortably, and happy to take notes with it for a prolonged period. Having it stored in a case is perfectly reasonable, you need a case to lay flat anyway.

@beef business You can take off the pen slot and it will lay flat. And don't tell me you are rich enough to buy a $1800 phone but not a $100 case to protect it.
