Ғылым және технология
The Z Fold 4 has been available for just under 6 months and I wanted to give review and thoughts after using the device extensively for almost 6 months. Enjoy and stay tuned for Part 2 next week.

Great video. I actually love the outside screen and width. Very easy to use one handed.

Yup it's super subjective. I know I'm good with it either way as long as I can customize it differently than my main inner screen

Yes. I bet those people just love to hate samsung and criticize the outer screen of the fold. When they themselves glorify the iphone 5s screen before over the note3. Even say the notes screen is way to big. Hahahaha
Most people just rant and complain, its to skinny ,but you literally can ball your hand up around the Zfold 4 . I don't want wider I want thinner

I'm new here and I love your knowledge. I also, love how you express your own thoughts and how you make them make sense... Instead of rant. Lastly, all the phone reviews I've seen, your home screen is the most organized out of all the others. Great job! 💜

Great two part Fold 4 review! Question: do we need hinge protection when we look for cases? Or is the hinge built strong enough to withstand unintentional drops? Thanks!
@IkesTechTalk
2 ай бұрын
Ummm that one is tough. I've personally never put any hinge protection on mine, but that's a personal risk I'm fine with taking. I've never seen anyone break a hinge from a fall, but it can scratch and dent if it falls the right way.
@R56Cooper
2 ай бұрын
@IkesTechTalk got it! Thanks for the insight--- the hinge of the Fold4 looks very durable. I guess, if travelling abroad--- go with the rugged case--- and if in town/the US (near Verizon), then no hinge case should be fine...

@BuRNingFLaN that sounds like the perfect way to do it
Good job on the review! Looks like the fold 4 is has wide as iPhone mini. My only problem is when it's closed and I'm trying to send a text because I have the tech 21 case the case gets in a way but when I am home and I don't have a case it's actually fine. But that case that you have from later actually looks really good I might get that for when I'm home
@IkesTechTalk

Yeah I know exactly what you mean man. It gets in the way of the side gestures sometimes too. Normally I rock mine with just a skin for that very reason
@karlb2322

I rock mine with just a case on the backside of the phone and nothing but a screen protector on the front, since day one it's been great this way
Using it for a couple months and I'm not disappointed but I think this is for a true tech enthusiast and I think it would go towards a different croud from mainstream cause real daily consumer would look at this as to much but the flip might be more for the basic crowd
@IkesTechTalk
Жыл бұрын
Umm honestly depends on the needs. It seems that way because most people rarely know there is a tablet/phone hybrid style device. But from a cost perspective I agree with you, flip is definitely more mainstream

I’m not sure why some complain about the black screen on top and bottom when watching a video. We’ve been doing this quite some time with widescreen movies on our TVs.
@IkesTechTalk
Жыл бұрын
Yea doesn't bother me at all
I'm conflicted on the front cover screen. Definitely ALOT of typos but it's something I feel like we will all get used to. Coming from a s21 ultra it's microscopic compared. However , this phone is hands down the BEST I've ever owned. Usually I snag the best flagship "ultra or plus" after the z fold experience tho I'll never switch back. Video / picture editing is a JOY on the fold! 1 month update: STILL ALOT of typos 😆
@umeumeume

Are you still having typos after you expand the front screen keyboard. I can't find anyone who has used the z fold 4 commenting on the ability to expand the keyboard while in fold. Is it a choice not to expand the keyboard?
@HerbGrowingLegal716
Жыл бұрын
@U Me oh yes lol typos nearly everytime I text on the cover screen.. in fact I just spelled screen "sc4een" and had to fix it. Funny part is I'm even typing slow to avoid it. It's been MONTHS lol
@HerbGrowingLegal716

@U Me also I have the Samsung standard cover they designed for it with the s pen . I can NEVER go backwards without rapidly swiping the back swipe gesture. Due to lack of room because of the case. Half the time I accidently click something when I do this. It's annoying. Other than that the phone is amazing.
@umeumeume
Жыл бұрын
@HerbGrowingLegal My relative has a standard and said that you should still be able to customize your screen in settings or labs. He also said that you should still be able to tap the 3 dots on your keyboard screen and resize your keyboard or typing in your settings search bar "how to increase keyboard size." My phone is cased, and I have the screen set to the case sensitivity, and I have the lab function for typing accuracy. Either way it goes, there is a keyboard screen resize setting while your phone is folded. But like you said, either way it awesome.

Generally I got between the S22U, Fold 4, Pixel 7 Pro, and 14 Pro Max. I know a lot of people feel the same way you do about the front screen. Here's hoping they make it a bit wider. I also know Google's rumored foldable will have a wider front screen, it'll just be a bit short
