The battery for the fold 4 is a beast compared to the fold 3. Trust me. I have both of them in my hands right now. It may seem identical when u have them side by side for the 1st time, but its different as you use it. Didn't regret one bit. Coming from a note 10 user to a fold 3 & 4.

I have the same experience having both. My Fold 3 is still as fluid as ever, but my Fold 4 kills it with battery life. DEX feature is also very useful. My 3 now serves as my desktop substitute.

I jumped into the foldables with the Z Fold3 and honestly cannot imagine going back to a regular form factor. I use the cover screen 80% of the time but having access to a larger screen for multitasking and content consumption is ahmayzing!! Planning on holding onto the 3 for another year and then upgrading to the 5.

@@VhsssTv the fold four is the first to mainstream fold. I say this because they've already increased the width on the outer screen which was one of the main reasons holding me back and it's now big enough for regular use. The battery life is actually gotten better to the point that it's actually beating the s22 ultra even though it's the same battery size and Android 12 L which will be available on the full three later truly allows seamless multitasking. I would say the 3 would be the first fold that early adopters would probably buy but the phone 4 is that form factor perfected to the point where the average Joe can now get it too. Of course he fold five and anything after that will just be improvements just like how the Galaxy s3 was the first mainstream big phone that was actually usable and not pathetically slow

I had the Z Fold3, I now have the 4. The difference in weight really impressed me and the wider front screen has me using it more. I'd honestly say if you have the 3, moving to the 4 isn't a bad upgrade.

The z fold 4 is fantastic. 12 hours 52 mins screen on time today. 730 am phone off charger and now 930pm an still at 16% . Can't really complain. KZread music, emails, text, videos etc, calls not bad.

I switched from the s10 plus to the fold 4. I got it mainly because of the trade-in and preorder deals but honestly I didn't expect to love it so much! It's so cool and awesome to use, and it revolutionized the way I use my phone now ... can't see myself going back to normal slab phone. Time will tell

I got one last weekend and it's been a lot better than my previous iPhone 12 for college and work so far

Just jumped onto the bandwagon yesterday and finding the fold fantastic! There's still work to be done but every step taken so far is making the device better than ever. I'm in love with the product right now too and hope to keep the love going!

I had the Z Fold 2 and returned it because it had too many compromises in relation to my S20 Ultra at the time. Mainly the cameras, lack of water resistance and the outside screen being to narrow. I now have the Z Fold 4 and have kept it over the S22 Ultra because all of those things have been corrected enough that they are no longer deal breakers. Still room to improve for next year.

Alright so I went from the S21 ultra to the S22 ultra to the ZFold4. Heres my thoughts. I Love the fold. I thought I would have an issue with its size and was prepared to send it back to Samsung if I didnt like it but I really do. I personally feel like I get a better battery life on the ZF4 than on the S22U. I like having the flat screens and that I can actually, functionally multitask. Dragging/dropping pics from your gallery to an outlook email gives me a sense of empowerment that I never really thought I was lacking lol. And for those websites (usually work related) that are best viewed in desktop mode the fold makes that experience much more pleasurable.

Right I am so excited to get mine in a few days! Huge reason is for the web version over the mobile version of eBay for selling, the mobile app is soo limited on the listing options and seller page. Glad you’re enjoying yours!

Flex mode combined with the desktop tools make this phone truly outstanding and way ahead of the competition. I hope they make it dust resistance in their future iteration.

Same boat. Awaiting the delivery of my Fold 4. The size of the phone in my pocket is the biggest concern right now, followed by the transition from the ios ecosystem.

I got mine with a trade in credit and I love it. Phones are interesting and fun again thanks to samsung!

Very informative video, answered all questions I had about this phone. Will look into upgrading to the fold 4 when my current plan is up.

Absolutely love mine. Just wish it had the Ultra zoom camera.

Same. I used a Note 9 before this, and as much as that phone revolutionised productivity for me, so does the Fold 4 compared to the Note. It has effectively replaced my tablet and laptop, and I cannot punctuate enough the convenience of having the same brilliant experience wherever I go. I love me some KZread, and it doesn't matter if I'm at home, on break at work, or commuting somewhere, the ability to unfold and open the kickstand (using the Note pack case) for hands-free media consumption, and just as quickly pop in the kickstand, fold the phone and slip it in my pocket is uncontested. I cannot get enough of the slickness of this process, and convenience of having everything I need in my pocket.

For Instagram, there is a setting In the phone to select which apps to display in full screen

Have had the Z fold 3 for almost a year now and absolutely love it. Nothing apple does compares to this device.

I've been using the Fold 2 the last two years, just got the Fold 4 two days ago and loving it. The Fold 4 is much lighter than the 2 and wider outer screen is so much usual now. Although, I still want Samsung to make it a little more wider, hopefully they'll make that change for the Fold 5.

Hi, have you you tested connecting the Z fold 4 to external displays using blue tooth keyboard?

The reason for ke to get it from the fold 3 was that I wanted the new galaxy watch 5 pro. When I reserved everything, plus traded in my fold 3 and my watch 3, I was able to get the fold 4, a case with a stylus, the galaxy buds 2pro, and the watch 5 pro for $700. The watch alone was $500. So to get all that just for 700 seemed like a great upgrade to me. I also get 100 back because I used Rakuten and PayPal for cash back. Just gotta be smart when making big purchases.

The wider front screen is really what makes a huge difference compared to the fold 3

I jumped from Note 9 to fold 4, all I can say is wow what an upgrade. The phone is built so solid all around. I'm just mainly a content consumer (don't own any other tablets) and now Deffo be playing more games too! It is a little on the weighty side but oh my for what you get for such a minor downside is nothing. I wouldn't wait for the fold 5, Jump in on the 4 and you'll be amazed this is the where foldables begin and will only get better :D

I just switched from the 22 ultra to the fold 4 and I absolutely love the fold 4 . The only thing I wish they would add is 2 more speakers and make it a quad speaker setup

Nice review Patrick, hope your doing better from Covid. I’ve been home this month fighting the same fight as you. I’m an Apple Fanboy, but I’m impressed with the Fold 4 from Samsung. This Niche market speaks to me, as I like the working size of a tablet while Writing/Reading emails and watching movies however, don’t want to carry around a tablet so a folding Phone/Tablet is ideal. I look forward to future versions as the price is a deal breaker for me as well as some missing features you pointed out. For now I’ll stick with my IPhone 11 Pro Max.

Went from a Note 20 Ultra to the Fold 4 and am loving it so far. I've noticed it fits better in my pocket (vs the Note 20 Ultra) because it is more narrow. The thickness of course add bulk, but it sort of reminds me of the old Nokia phones back in the late 90's early 2000's (showing my age here...) That said, while it fits better in my pocket, I've noticed it kind of wants to fall out of my pocket. Almost had a few accidents where the phone was half hanging out of my shorts pocket. This is my first foldable and I'm very happy with it. And yes, wish they bumped the battery size up to at least 5000 mah

Get what ya saying about the old Nokia's ;) lol ..On the pocket issue I thought it wasn't too bad, just the weight, so I've decided to dump my phone keys and wallet in a small cross chest bag keep my most important things close, hands and pockets are free now, I don't mind changing as the benefits out weigh the tiny annoyences (if that's even a word) lol

I have fold 4 now, but I liked the fold 3 hinge better for the reason that the last few millimeters closing on fold 4 are a bit loose compared to fold 3.

For people like me who do planning, on Excel on my previous phone, and still investigate a figure I need on Internet and get something from my Samsung Notes, and use temporarily a floating calculator, I appreciate these features. Underuse of that device does not mean that the rest of us don't use the features. There's a few of us hence that flagships don't sell like ordinary phones.

Just ordered my fold 4 yesterday in gold I can wait till it comes

I have the fold 2 and I never use flex mode due to the screen protector starting to peel at the hinges and allowing bubbles to form after using it in that way. It's returned to normal over time but I only ever have it closed or fully open to prevent this from happening. I love the phone and will eventually upgrade but I'm in no hurry.

This review pushed me over the tipping point of the crave for a new phone experience, having been with Apple for every iteration of iPhone, With small step changes from Cupertino making it tough to justify an upgrade this new Z fold really hits the spot. I'm on the fold 3 The screen protector on my inner screen has started to lift away from the cease and is visually annoying. Not sure if I'm gonna try and replace it or not. I can see myself staying with the fold tho. I'll probably wait till fold5 to upgrade

I never thought any phone would make me want to upgrade from the Galaxy Note 10 5G plus. That was until went and tried this phone out. It is literally the best phone on the market right now. Fast, great camera, you can't beat playing games on it, or watching KZread on it. I highly recommend it and if you doubt its abilities, just try it out at any local phone store. I've had mine for about two weeks now and I don't regret it one bit. The battery also highly impressed me. It usually lasts me all day and I'm a heavy phone user.

Honestly such an insiteful and useful video. I am an avid Samsung user and currently am on a Note 20 Ultra. My upgrade is currently due. Disappointed Samsung took my Note phone away and was particularly unimpressed with the S22 Ultra. The Z Fold 4 has my attention and so does the Iphone. With the 14 on the horizon I am in two minds. Is it time for change or do I stick to this revolutionairy new formula.

I had the Fold 1 & 2, have the 3 and my burgundy 4 is out for delivery. Samsung does offer great trade in values. You always hear how expensive it is. But, no one ever mentions they have continuously made improvements while keeping the price the same or reducing it from the previous model. Can you get an iPhone 13 for the price of a 10?

You probably won't need this, but once you try it, you can't go back to a normal phone. Definitely a novel experience using a foldable. You don't get this kinda of experience often.

When you fold the phone In a tripod style does rhe keyboard appear on the bottom half of th screen? If it does and takes up the whole bottom part of the screen..that would be a major attraction for the phone.

I traded in my Samsung note 10 plus and active 2 watch for a Z Fold 4 w/512mb and watch 5 pro. With the preorder deal it cost about $1,200 USD. I waited over a month for delivery but it was the best deal I've ever made on a phone and watch. I spend hours every day reading newspapers and books not to mention all of the other applications that are a joy to use on a small tablet. My only concern is with the increased usage the battery usually needs to be charged at night. The watch makes up for it on the other side as it lasts a couple days with heavy usage, even with the always on display running intermittently. Kudos Samsung, you've done it right ✅️

How is the battery when you're using the large screen for an extended period of time? Can't imagine it lasts that long but maybe. 🔋

Does it come with the S Pen? Or is that a separate purchase?

I love how people say this under screen camera is less distracting than a bump or a hole punch 😂 honestly do you all really notice that stuff I literally forget my iPhone even has a bump and same with the other hole punch worm camera 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've read that learning to swipe instead of typing on the front is really worth it.

I have the fold 3, I'll wait for the fold 5 before upgrading.

You can still use iphone as your primary device (for comms), and use android as your secondary device (for watching netflix, ytube).
