@@lits5984 The design is based off the Samsung Galaxy Gear watch they released years ago. It is literally the same design with slight improvements.

I love the "sqircle" design. The square white "frame" around the watch face definitely satisfies my desire to brighten my galaxy watches with snap on bezel bling.

I have both the black and stainless version of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Gave up the black one for the $300 trade in credit. Plus, an extra $50 for ordering through the Samsung shop app. $299 for the ultra was kind of a no-brainer. I'm looking forward to it.

I love the shape of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. I love my square Corelle plates that aren't exactly square but have rounded corners like the Watch Ultra and also has a round center part. So it makes sense that I like the shape of the Watch Ultra.

I wasn't interested at first, but after some thought and a bit of a what the hell why not attitude, I went and ordered it..

Not sure if I want to pull the trigger on this one. I love the rotating bezel on my Watch 4 Classic. Sammy will give me $300 for trade of it, even though I originally paid $150. At this rate, I may just get the 6 Classic. I'm sure it's cost will be much less now.

You're right, very similar design! But that name was "Gear Sport". Maybe the first water resistant Samsung watch(?)

Good. Stick to the classic and wait for the next classic. Damn weirdos....this is like saying "no day 1 game ready drivers. Pass, on this quadro gpu". Nah...goood, stick to your mainline stuff, wait for your next rtx and don't flood this other area. They aren't gonna compromise on fundamental functionality cuz "muh rotating bezels". Like hey guys, we're worse than the rest of the competition in this space durability wise, but look, *Rotating Bezeellllssss* woo woo. It's a fallacy and not rocket science. So, good. Just stay right there. It's best for all sides when companies don't get pushed into doing silly things that damage products. When we get there without compromise, we get there. But we're certainly not there.

I watched the keynote and placed the pre-order on the Titanium Grey but only to realize afterwards with all the KZreadrs' posts, that the Titanium Grey is more like black. I kinda wanted more of a lighter surface, like the Apple Watch Ultra, I went as far as chatting with Samsung Support about cancelling my preorder and perhaps reordering and going with the Silver, but I ended up keeping the Titanium Grey, I just wish Samsung was better at representing the color on their website 😒

I ordered mine today. Unfortunately I watched your video after I processed my order. At the end of your video you said no rotating bezel. Before I finished your video, I cancelled my watch order. Thanks for the information. All your videos are helpful and I appreciate the content you provide. Jeep up the good work!

Plus one here. I did the exact same, ordered and cancelled when i found no ratating bezel If the crown actually worked as a scroll ALA APPLE I would have settle for no physical bezel but SAMSUNG really blew it big time with this one. MY friends who had preordered canceled as well. Maybe that will send a message and well see and Ultra 2 Mid year giving us what we actually want

Here's what has me hesitant. The Watch 7 and Ultra have the same exact display and display size, the battery aside, the internals are exactly the same. So youre basically paying double for an exta 150 mAh's on the battery (600 vs 450) and the titanium on the case. Hmm... not sure I can justify that upcharge. getting 90% of the functionality in the lower priced watch seems like the way to go. P.S. I actually ordered the Ultra canceld because I realized that the price jumped $50 from when it was in my cart to the check out. Multiple calls to customer service could not fix the issue. I was trading in my Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE so I couldn't justify paying more than $300 even with the extra strap. Trading in my old watch for the Watch 7 4mm with just Bluetooth brings it down to $80. Thats queit a delta...$80 vs $350...hmmm

can you wear it on right hand but in reverse so the buttons are on other side?

The 10 ATM water rating unfortunately doesn't including moving the watch under water below 1.5 meters, so Samsung states it's not for diving. Compared to the rest of the line up, it's overpriced for that slight improvement, and in addition the UI can't be used in colder climate unless gloves are removed.

Upgraded my classic 4 to a classic 6. Too laggy, poor battery life. Got a 5 pro to replace it. Sucks. Not going to get a watch without the rotating bezel. No galaxy 7 at all for me. If...the 7 ultra had a wheel button like the apple, ok i guess id buy it.

Best part of the Samsung Classics, you can purchase bezels and bands to make it look like a high end watch. This will always look like an Apple Watch with a more awkward screen and UI.

It's not GREAT looking, but I did just pre-order mine. The rotating bezel was always a key feature I loved but if you're not utilizing the rotating bezel to navigate your watch or other functions then it's not that big of a deal to go without it.

Looks interesting, but two questions: - Worth upgrading from the Watch 6 Classic? - What about the new band and how to get a different aftermarket band? Thanks!

I was on the fence too, but the $500 trade in for my watch 6 classic made it hard to pass up. No rotating bezel sucks a bit, but the digital one works well and honestly I wasnt using the physical bezel to its potential.

Im planing to slowly switch all my digital gears from samsung to apple. Lets start with my galaxy s23 ultra with the coming iphone 16 pro.

Regarding Watch 7 ultra - Samsung - you treat clients with disregard. This is the shame that you left the round screen on square like body... as the only explanation for such move would be to keep the rotating bezel working... and... it doesn’t rotate! . Good luck to those who want to use virtual bezel with gloves on or on wet screen of the “ULTRA” professional watch! SAMSUNG YOU ARE INSULTING USERS and treating them really as "bring us 2x more money for less useful interface" also - where is the rumored sugar level monitoring? This situation with “missing functionality” continues for many years - Last year - on Galaxy watch 6 Classic - you brought back the rotating bezel… , but cut the battery capacity almost in half…. On Galaxy 5… - you have installed nice large battery but… deleted rotating bezel known as key feature on Galay 4 and Galaxy 3…. Samsung - you are experimenting on users, asking them to pay each year more for new model which has some major functionality cuts. This make me as the long time user really annoyed - this continues from Galaxy watch 2 and 3 released without super useful feature which was camera introduced on the original SM-V700 Galaxy Gear This year I do not plan to upgrade, SORRY - I will not accept taking away functionalities each time for more money !

The great and quite impressive improvements of the last Samsung devices are.... The PRICE!

That is enough for me with Samsung Galaxy watch, had two bad experiences with W5 Pro and W6 Classic relating to screen. One turned orange and one no signal for no reason. Having searched for the same situation on Internet, maybe due to waterproofing or object impact (even slightly impact).

I think it looks great. Just wish it had a rotating bezel and/or an actual rotating crown.

Do u have any information that Ultra 7 watch is capable on Scuba Diving mode?

Water resistance rating of 10 minutes at 100 meters under the ISO standard 22810. Rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, 1.5 meters in fresh water for up to 30 minutes. It is not suitable for diving or high-pressure water activities. From the Samsung site

I pre-ordered this watch from Samsung.

At this price point its worth considering a Garmin watch. Especially if you're an outdoorsman/into fitness. Only reason to go with the galaxy watch is if you want the cellular feature

I have had an Apple watch for years, but I really like this one. What I don´t like with the Apple watch is the watch faces. Very limited selection and not too much customation. It´s get boring fast. I also like the shape of this Galaxy.

That galaxy watch ultra looks like a beast and 150 bucks cheaper the design is nice I’m really considering getting this and a s24 ultra and ditching my 14 pro max and ultra 2 but I just got the ultra 2 back in march decisions decisions

So I guess the housing were the buttons are is also titanium 🤔 how scratch resistant is grade 4 titanium 🤔 how easily will the orange band show marks or get dirty🤔

There is a lot of info on the screen....so I wish it were even bigger (like a fitness watch). Other than, if this heart rate tech is as good as Apple's (which is the most accurate even compared to polar and Garmin), then we are in business!

On the samsung website for Galaxy Watch Ultra, it says in the fine print, number 25: GPS function requires internet connection. Can be used on LTE models without paired smartphone.

It probably needs to get the actual visual map from the internet, as downloading it takes a ton of storage, but it can get the coords on its own

Good review Saki...but I'll stick with my Garmin Epix Pro 2 and its 28 days of battery life.

You can to your phone as well. Also u don't need to get a new plan. You can use your existing phone plan to connect the LTE.

Have to say the watch faces look so much better (more modern) compared to the Apple Watch. Apple should really do something about the old-fashioned watch faces... They also look like they're designed for children, while the Samsung ones for adults. Well done, Samsung.
