Its a rugged watch, for extreme sports. A rotating watch face makes no sense here. Why is everyone crying about it. Nobody is forcing you to buy it

No one's crying for the rotating bezel. We just want the option for a rotating bezel galaxy watch 7 ultra classic. If that's not possible, so be it. We'll keep what we have. Their loss.

​@@kjunbug2010it's really not "their loss" they now different watches for different audiences. It might not be crying for you but a lot of 6 classic owners are crying as if the classic watch hasn't been releasing every other yr since the 4 classic.

Because it's ugly when compared to the 5 pro and they should have released a "rugged" line and not abandoned the classic line WITH a larger face and better battery life.

Wow! The Galaxy Ultra looks awesome. Super cool design. Round clock face set on square looks so dope. Samsung did start out with a Square design in 2015 and then Apple copied in 2015 with Square design. All watches look pretty similar now adays round, square, colors and buttons ect.

Apple didn't copy lol Samsung discontinued the watch within a year, Apple wanted to stand out so they made a square watch that Samsung constantly made fun of in tweets, interviews and ads. Apple wouldn't have copied a failed shape, if it was successful and Samsung continued it year to year then that would be copying.

I'm also gonna do the same thing, I'll slap the black/gray band for everyday use and slap the orange for working out. And I pre-order mine, so I think I'm getting an extra band it's gonna be black......so an excellent start right from the get-go.

I'm really stoked to get mine! I think they'll look is bold and premium, and I'm looking forward to the great battery life as well as great performance!

Why are people saying that the watch 7 series SOC uses less power? Without any data or even watch lifetime from Samsung it's irresponsible to say this. Yes, it's a 3nm SoC, but it also has 6 cores vs just 2 in the past several generations. 4 of those cores are the same as the 2 Watch 6. The watch as a whole has more memory so therefore uses more battery too. I have a love hate relationship with Samsung, so I'm not going to give them the benefit of doubt without testing or verifying Samsung's claims - claims they won't even put in the spec sheets (which they have for previous generations).

if it doesn't have the rotating bezel they should have just went ahead a made the screen rectangle

Good, strong successor for GW5Pro. Same direction but next gen hardware and software.

I'm still hoping they will come out with the Samsung watch 7 classic with a rotating bezel. I'm not big on the squared off look of a watch but the titanium doesn't look too bad. The video was well done, kudos to you for putting it out for all of us to understand Samsung's latest ultra watch.

This is the 5 pros successor not the 6 classic. The rotating bezel will be back next year for the 8 classic. They are two different watches that each will get an update every 2 years.

Does the Watch 7 Ultra have EKG and BP functionality activated? Thanks for your thorough review!

Ya I just ordered the same package as yours. This watch looks so awesome. Sammy launched their Square watch in 2013 and then Apple launched their Square watch in 2015 so Apple is the knock off here. The Galaxy Ultra is a mix round clock face set on square , looks so dope. I can't wait to get my new Galaxy Ultra. Enjoy your Galaxy Ultra.

I can't order one of the two straps, because they have to send me a free trail band strap, but I don't know what color they will send. I use the rotating bezel all the time, so I love my galaxy watch 6 classic. I like the new galaxy watch 7 ultra with some of the new features, but I wish samsung could have added the rotating bezel. I WiL stick with my galaxy watch 6 classic until they bring it back with the galaxy watch 8 ultra / classic.

Great content. Can't wait to get the watch 7 ultra. I already bought two extra bands for it and a case protector.

It's worth getting if you have a trade-in and additional promo code discounts then you can get the ultra for under $250.

Finally Samsung Ultra watch with a superstitious design honestly. If size 49 were more beautiful, Samsung would always be creative with everything beautiful. I don't compliment this fact.

I'll stick to my 6 Classic's rotating bezel... it's not like they didn't know we'd want it, with the praise it got in the 6 Classic, so it wasn't an oversight nor design constraint. Samsung seems intent on trolling its customers with these nonsensically incomplete iterations, leaving you waiting several generations before an upgrade is actually meaningful/necessary. They could leave others eating dust if they really want to, but it's profits over innovation. Maybe if enough people vote by passing and their sales tank, they might reconsider.

The Ultra is a watch for active people. It’s supposed to be a durable watch that can survive any element. A rotating bezel is a moving part that can fail which would result in the watch failing.

@@VetIntel I never use the bezel on my 6 classic ,it's easier to swipe the screen , so I definitely won't miss it

No turning bezel, no dive software, so not enough 'want to have' factor compared to the regular, and price premium is substantial. 10 ATM and the up to 60 hrs autonomy is about it. Not enough. The cycling threshold apparently requires using the phone, not the watch. Lame. Had it had a turning bezel, like the Gear Sport had, it would be a buy.

Pre-ordered mine but not arriving until 9th August. Must be in high demand

This worth upgrading from Watch 6 Classic to 7 Ultra?

Where i live it gets a lot colder then -20 degrees celsius, sometimes its minus 30-40... at the winter. usually above -20 whole winter. So not really that impressive imo.

I feel the same.... Imma try it out for a week to see if the battery life makes up for no rotating bezel. They could have at least gave the rotating crown a scrolling feature like the apple watch if they were going to go that route.

Yeah ummm no champ. The ultra is the 5 pros successor. The 6 classics successor will be next year. They're interchangeable years, each respective model will be updated every 2 years.

Could have a bigger screen and maybe a hiden camra

We need to questioning who copied who. Did the apple watch copy the Galaxy gear S rectangle design from 2014, or did Samsung galaxy watch ultra copied the square design of the apple watch ultra

No issue with design as it's subjective, even it looks weird and obviously resembles Apple Ultra that only look better with certain watchface, but even in power saving mode will only last 4 day, so with AOD ? With this price? Nope, I Will stick to 6 classic , perhaps one day easy switch to other brands.

samsung galaxy takes everything from apple watch ultra ....

-20 C is only -4 F...I see that multiple times a year...I hope it is more resilient than that.

@@JedEckert no, but gloves aren't exactly great at covering that area and there are plenty of times when I wouldn't be wearing gloves. That is winter and I do physical work, anything around 0 F isn't so cold that a few mins outside exposed when working up a sweat is so bothersome that I would cover that area heavily or even at all.

Regarding Watch 7 ultra - Samsung - you treat clients with disregard. This is the shame that you left the round screen on square like body... as the only explanation for such move would be to keep the rotating bezel working... and... it doesn’t rotate! . Good luck to those who want to use virtual bezel with gloves on or on wet screen of the “ULTRA” professional watch! SAMSUNG YOU ARE INSULTING USERS and treating them really as "bring us 2x more money for less useful interface" also - where is the rumored sugar level monitoring? This situation with “missing functionality” continues for many years - Last year - on Galaxy watch 6 Classic - you brought back the rotating bezel… , but cut the battery capacity almost in half…. On Galaxy 5… - you have installed nice large battery but… deleted rotating bezel known as key feature on Galay 4 and Galaxy 3…. Samsung - you are experimenting on users, asking them to pay each year more for new model which has some major functionality cuts. This make me as the long time user really annoyed - this continues from Galaxy watch 2 and 3 released without super useful feature which was camera introduced on the original SM-V700 Galaxy Gear This year I do not plan to upgrade, SORRY - I will not accept taking away functionalities each time for more money !

Ugliest watch of 2024. I will stick to my gw6 classic for now and wait for apple watch ultra 3. Im done with android watch they are slow and heavy even with a new processor.

So Samsung copied Apple in almost every way, just more ugly than the Apple Watch ultra
