Yeah when I pre-ordered I didn't realize there was an extra free band coming with it by the time I ordered it included the gray Trail Loop which is fine I would have took the other one that has the rubber with the two holes but it is what it is cuz I wanted the orange Trail Loop so it gave me those are gray and orange Trail Loop I'm really looking forward to it though

I agree the Silver one would be the best option . Looks more premium plus it would look better with different bands as it doesn't have much orange color except on the crown. The orange band and excess orange color details make it look cheap !

Agreed pre ordered the silver. White looks great but I question how that looks after it gets dirty from everyday wear and I don't like the orange markings on this one. Silver fits with everything especially with some different bands

Yeah the ring is cool and all and it's something new from samsung but the watch does it all so the ring will be a pass for me. Plus I don't wear a ring to bed only a watch because I like waking up and seeing how long I've slept for

To me, it’s a missed opportunity that the crown does not rotate for scrolling. That digital rotation navigation is meh especially when you have sweaty hands or something

I'm probably in a niche portion that prefer no rotating bezel due to my job. Dirty grime and sand /fish and jelly slime or blood/saltwater/Sunscreen/ sweat all make the watch 6 classic besel to gunk up and needs cleaned every day of field work. Im required to have a watch so I got the ultra for that reason mainly.

Awesome looking watch. Thanks for your professional review. So many channels start off with these crazy rants and then start bashing the watch. I like the classic round clock face with the squared off back. Nice to have bigger battery and extra button for a quick click open. This watch looks so rugged , built like a tank. So Awesome.

Thank you for your honest review, there are a lot of haters out there giving bad reviews based on their bias.

Mine came within 3 days of pre-ordering on the day of the launch and I'm obsessed with it. For some reason I love big bulky watches and not anything that looks mediocre and small but this is really the ultimate smart watch and definately beats the apple watch ultra.

It's probably the best review I've seen so far .

Wait, you are telling me that you get 3 DAYS with everything on? im used to 1 1/2 days with the classic. How is the battery life treating you now? Great Review and THANK YOU for telling us exactly how it is!

Honestly I'm more excited about the regular watch 7 more than the watch ultra.

This design has grew on some people including me that silver one is beautiful all them look good !!!! If I didn’t just get my ultra 2 back in march I’d be all over this

I'm resisting ordering this right now because I just bought the ring and have the Watch 6 Classic. I too did not like the design at first and it still looks a little ugly to me. But I'm curious to see how the new bioactive sensor performs. I'm hoping that they make a Watch8 Classic next year. I can't stand the boxy look. I will gladly sacrifice battery life if I could keep the stylish rotating bezel. I have never received as many compliments as I did on a smartwatch as my watch 6 classic. Maybe the watch 6 classic sensor plus the new ring sensors will suffice for accuracy until next year. At least their keeping the 6 classic in their current lineup so they are aware that there's a market for the rotating bezel.

I pre-ordered mine, and I'm glad Samsung is giving a free band......and + I got $400 discount for the trade-in, so not bad, $249+tax total.

Never been a fan of boxy watch designs, but this design aesthetic that Samsung did is making it grow on me.

Honestly wouldn't trust the new system for bands on the watch, the old one feels more secure (I'm assuming this one works in a similar way to the fitbit versa bands), nothing wrong with the old reliable system.

Something I've only seen on one video mentioned so far is the quicker charging time on Galaxy Ultra. I have the 5 Pro that I'll be trading in for the Ultra and charging time on the Ultra is supposed to be about twice as fast as the 5 Pro(45 vs 90 minutes) even though they have the same capacity battery. Would be nice to see more videos like this talk about this to confirm.

I preordered the gray and I can’t wait! Grey and orange is one of my favorite color combos. I had a Gear Sport with the rotating bezel and a Watch 4 without and I LOVE the rotating bezel and I miss it. It sets Samsung apart from other smartwatch makers. I think Samsung missed the boat here by not putting capacitive touch in the bezel so you don’t have to swipe the screen but can swipe the actual bezel instead even if it doesn’t rotate.

I love this color. The only catch is the orange accents when using different band colors but I am sure some company will create something pure black to cover the bezel as we have had in the past so I can always just go all black on the bezels. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have some sort of modular design to replace that one with different colors.

Samsung should research a ring holder-stand. that way it could be used with the pen holder and you have a complete solution. It won't do wireless charge but I wire charge almost everytime anyway.

I have liked the design choice since I saw some leaks. The improvements to the hardware and build are, in my opinion, worth it. Contrary to others' opinions, I think it looks nice and, as you mentioned, very comfortable. I am eagerly waiting for mine.

Large? Samsung should have made it 51-55mm.. but on the path to get there tho. :)

It would be nice if Samsung matched the colour of the watch to the Samsung Wear app image during setup

Watching your heart rate on the watch, your heart rate didnt change at all. I know you stated you had it set to continuous, but with all that hand movement, it stayed the same.

I bought the dark grey . A roataing bezel , being a moving part would compromise the robust nature of the ultra . I dont use the bezel on my 6 classic anyway

Didn't like it at first. It kept growing on me, then I started to see Titanium Silver start getting pushed into late August, or not available at all at some retailers anymore. Pulled the trigger through Best Buy and got the color + the free trail band I wanted. Really hoping it looks alright on my smaller-sized wrist.

For me before I like apple watch but I hate to use iphone now iam so happy I will buy it for sure 💯 thanks alot

Hey! Good review. Sorry for the inconvenience, but maybe is there any information about how many years of system updates is going to have galaxy watch ultra? I couldn't find any info and I'm very interested in this watch.

I wonder what is the real battery life with AOD off and a training or two (like cycling) 2-3 times a week. Need another review in 3-4 months) "First impressions" are always great. Only time will show real performance rating.

I like the design but I don't like the fact you have to touch the display all the time to navigate through the menu instead to rotate the bezel...it's a bit annoying.. The display will be always kind of dirty...

I loved every part of it EXCEPT not having rotating bezel. I upgraded my Galaxy Watch to Galaxy watch classic 47mm just for that. And I won't be getting this one for same reason. It's an amazing watch. It looks fantastic. Battery life is promising. But why did they have to cancel rotating bezel? Especially after having this much extra space with square base. I don't get it. I believe next year they will have it with rotating bezel to able to sell it, then I'll buy that.

Very smooth software. Can't confirm heart rate accuracy myself yet but Samsung has apparently done a complete redesign of the LED sensors and claim the accuracy is much improved

just a piece of advice...if you use the watch in this configuration ie. with button inwards you wont be able to use the BMI function properly

Thanks for the review... Did you test the heart rate monitoring during your workout? I find most smartwatches start losing the reading, or comes in and out during workouts

First time watching good video. I do have a question when you raise your wrist what’s the lag like and when moving through tiles is there ultimate lag like the watch 6 classic? Because on camera it looks like I saw lag, but sometimes that happens on camera but not in real time.
