Great tips. This will definitely help me. I want to remind people to use their common sense when retrieving a stolen or missing tablet. A friend of mine lost his ability to see from his right eye while attemping to retrieve a stolen cell phone. He was attacked and hit in the head with a metal pipe. He was hospitalized for almost two months. It would probably be safer NOT to do something like that alone or maybe get the police involved.

Thank you for this video. I love my tablet for watching media content and, I'm one who uses uses the tablet as my only picture-taking and video-making camera. Mostly of my 1 year old grandson. I'm very particularly about optimum resolution. I normally keep my tablets for a good while and upgrade only when there are leap forwards as in this latest buy migrating from an S6 to the S8+. Following along with you, in Advanced Features/Labs/Game Launcher. I find Video brightness DIMMED OUT. The radio button for Game Launcher is there and turned on as you suggest. BUT, Video Brightness does NOT have a button to slide on or off, and is dimmed. 1) Is this normal? I want to be sure I can view HDR content when available. 2) Or, did I turn something off somewhere. If yes, how do I get it back? Awesome video, I love my tablet; I appreciate those like you who tinker around in the device innards and share helpful tips for efficiency, productivity and the sheer joy of a great experience.🤗

for those outside the region for good lock, search for nice look and nice lock downloader (companion app to nice lock). works like a charm. still ridiculous that samsung doesn't add this to ALL their devices

Tried rotation control app. Does nothing, says it's made for an older version and may not work properly. Kinda pointless.

I'm happy purchased the Samsung galaxy tab s8 plus model. It's not too big and not too small It's the perfect size. It's a great tablet 😀 😊!!

Good lock is in the galaxy store.

The app I use on my phone and past phones and tablets is SD Maid it enables you to uninstall apps properly and then scan for leftovers the apps leave. Simply uninstalling the app using 'Uninstall' on the app doesn't uninstall the leftover crap the apps leave behind.

Please go over how to allow an emergency siren sound for severe weather alerts. Where to turn off some alerts. Thsnt you.

Thanks for your video help tutorials! --- Android and IPad OS should put favorite settings parts for users that people and EVEN a special link created by users (A Quick Access Bar) Sometimes I have to read all the settings and I dislike the fact that Apple and Google/Android/Samsung make you THINK LIKE A PROGRAMMER. Most of the time, people have to Google videos on how they can use the dam- tablet.

I think he meant that it's to protect it in the long run. Have you ever noticed that the longer you use your device, the quicker your battery dies? I suppose it's for that. Because after all, 85% is less than 100%, so it will indeed die a little quicker. Altho, I recently abled that option on my phone and I don't really notice much. I am quicker at the 40%, but it doesn't really bother me, especially when I know it'll safe my battery in the long rung ^^

lithium-ion batteries benefit from being charged only up to 85%, it has to do with how the battery continues to produce a voltage even when not needed. Heat + battery overuse makes the deterioration of the battery accelerate.

Could it not also be that the batteries have a memory function and only charging to 85% causes the battery not to be used at its fullest…? It would actually cause the battery life to be shorter. The same as not letting the battery go completely empty (I mean empty empty) and then recharging…? To maintain the life of the battery it is recommended to drain it empty empty and then recharge to the fullest. I have never had any battery problems over the years with any of my devices. No matter if iPhone, Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and even Wiko……

I would like to uninstall other pre-installed apps I don't use that came with the tablet but I have no idea which are safe for me to uninstall. I uninstall the Samsung Global Goals like you said and it seems like the battery is draining faster

Hi TechGuy How can access the microphone volume for the S8. It is very low that it never hears us.

It's strange that I don't have some of the menu sections on my tablet. For example, I can't implement the last piece of advice, because I don't have the "Automation" menu 😢 some other menus are also different.

@@StarpunkD You misunderstand. You have a later version of the Android OS than what is shown in the video. As to "what to do about it" - well, I'm sure there are equivalencies. I don't know what they are. I'm in the same boat, but only got my S8 today.

Just picked up the Tab S8+ wifi+ 5G, and for some reason my settings in advaced features does not have "call and text on other devices". Any tips or solution on this?

Any tips on how to disable gos? I know a lengthy method which involves restartng the tablet and some other stuff, but if there is a simple method to do that, then I would really appreciate it. Because even after the latest update, it still reduces the resolution of games such as Genshin Impact. P.S. Throttling the performance of the chipset to produce less heat is still understandable, but the fact that on top of reducing the performance, they also reduce the resolution of the game applications is something that really infuriates me.

Oh that is for lower models that don't have a lot of ram, if yours is 8r or 16r your fine if you got a little bit of storage lower your virtural ram

Great information. BUT, so often your screen is very blurry making it difficult to follow along and make the adjustments needed. I'm at 23:39 and half of the screen is a complete blur. :( This happened thru most of the video unfortunately. I have my pre-order coming soon and was trying to learn more of your tips and tricks.

great but some aspects didn't work like the full Screen apps.
