Very good video. Have a questions though: my glass was broken so I ordered a new one and put it on by following your video. However, when I power it on, it shows a white screen. I know the tab is good because I can still connect it to my pc and see al the contents. I went back to open it and made absolutely sure both the screen cable and the glass cable are securely connected. Any idea what is wrong?

Crazy how phones are now the same size as these old tablets

no need for removing the white back cover, everything comes out together with the frame.

Dave Kot I'm thinking it's bc he used that heating tool maybe it could damage those parts he took out but idk you may be right

can you just take the screen off without you taking out the back

if u do that, will it still save all the photos and stuff u have?

Yes and long as you do not "factory reset" the device.

Hairdrier works perfectly...no need to buy a $100 heat gun unless you're repairing phones for a living.
