I have S8 and looking for an upgrade. can you tell also which is one better for panning videos? and on which one aberration is less (I work with metaphorical cards in therapy and take a lot of photos with the cards, the problem on my S8 is that it distorts the dimensions having weird non-rectangular shapes. also on jewelry shots at times it is noticeable.)

I have both. Regarding the photos with the main camera, I prefer the s21 because I think the coloring is more natural, especially with respect to people's skin tone, which, in my opinion, is too light on the s22. On the other hand, I find the s22 selfs to be significantly better than the old version's sefs. About the videos I don't have anything to say, because I don't use this function too much. Anyway, thank you very much for the comparison between the cameras of both devices: it was very well done!

@@janwillemdevries ya I would have jumped on the s22 but the battery life I heard it atrocious. My s21 gets 8-9 hours of screen on time over wifi at 60hz and 6 on 5g at 120hz. I heard the s22 gets 3-5 on 60hz and wifi

Yeah have to agree with you 100% because I was gonna go for the S 23 ultra next year and after I get that I don’t upgrade in four years from now just because the more features that thing has the longer for me to update it if you guys agree with me there.

I think both 64mp and 50mp will both render 12mp. It will just increase a little but of details. Like everyone says, its not the megapixel 😉

SAMSUNG was very clever with the S22 because many people will upgrade phones previous to the S21 to the s22!!!✅Very smart but get the S21 !! or the S23!!✅

Thanks bro, S21 I think uses digital zoom after 1.1x optical. so everything relies on the 64 mp. while S22 although has optical, it only has 10mp, imagine a selfie camera quality telephoto. The S21 isnt sharper, I was just zooming in on the telephoto images that makes S22 a bit pixelated. but that's what you get when zooming in to a 10 mp photo.

@@GadgetRevNow sort of, but that is an hard crop on sensor, not a digital on the photo. Let me explain more The 64mpx on s21 is a big sensor with a 1x1 bayer (no binning). S22, on the other hand, has a way smaller sensor. 1.1x is the eq. focal lenght multiplier of the entire S21 tele sensor vs It's main sensor. If we chop down the tele sensor to 12mpx (we only pick the centre of it) it will be labeled as 2,7 optical zoom. - 12mpx, 2,7x optical zoom - We should use angular fov per pixel to judge the real magnification capabilities of a camera. It represent the smallest details a photosite (or pixel) can see. S21's tele photosites can see 13% smaller details than S22, or, in other hand, has a 13% better real magnification. Hence the more informations we see on the grass of the photo you put in the video. But, why Samsung complicated it putting a big sensor If it just could go for a cheaper smaller sensor and write "3x optical" instead of 3x "hybrid"? Because it can zoom out. S21 could go from 3x down 1.1x just increasing the chunk of the sensor it uses. Without losing quality. While S22 relies on digital crop on It's 50mpx 2x2 binned to do these near-tele If you try a 2,5x photo you will see a huge difference between these devices (Samsung capped the S21 tele to 2x, from 1,9x it uses a digital crop on main sensor)

Wow! You know what, I thought about that white S22. I ended up choosing green lol. Battery life is good, its an all day phone. I dont use this S22 for gaming, only using for social media, shopping and vlogging. I have a separate phone for gaming. This phone is a day and half phone for me. I usually have 6-7 hours screen on time. By the way, on my unboxing video, the setup part, put your sim in first coz setup will not go through without sim.

Can you do battery test between s21 and s22? Great video by the way!

Well I sometimes vlog and use my phone to edit my personal videos and I see a difference with performance. S22 can handle those task well while S21 is a bit sluggish once the video file is too big.

Replying from my s22 sir, well, without gaming and video playback (I have a seperate gaming phone, Poco F3) this lasts me a day and a half. Dont be scared of the smaller battery, its good.

S22 is clearly better, however, there's no difference between s22, s23 and s24. If it is, you just can see looking at the picture size by size and really paying A LOT of attention

Great video! How big is the difference in battery live between s21 and s22? I would like to upgrade, but for me is the battery life on s21 quite bad so I'm a bit scared that it will be worse. Thank you in advance for your response

Battery is just okay. If battery is you main thing, maybe go for Samsung S22+? In terms of battery, almost the same. I think S21 will have a little bit of edge. Don't be scared with S22 and its battery, its an all day phone for me.

it's pure deception... it's just a software change and not a camera change where you can see a noticeable change! Not worth spending money on the S22

Ohh normally vivo and xiaomi will have 4000 mAh or higher so medyo maninibago ka sa Samsumg S22. I"ll shoot a battery test today and tomorrow, dami kasi nagrerequest so maybe something you wamt to see too. Its an all day phone for me pero it could vary depending on people's usage.

I am upgrading from my trusty S9 🤣 I don't want a big phone but I want a better camera. I have sma hands and arthritis so the S22 ultra is a HUGE NO. But I do like the S21 and S22 look.

i agree but that's where the sensor of s22 comes in at 1/1.56 and binning goes into play. i have the s22 and i considered that because i love night photography the snapdrago 8 gen 1 will process the photos a lot faster in lowlight resulting to a brighter crisper image that most camera phones would take 7 seconds to take my s22 does in 2-3 seconds in extreme lowlight situations so go with the s22. the new adaptive pixel software and 8gen 1 will do wonders.

@@BLAKEEATS1988 pixel binning is proven to be not as good as real large pixels tho, and the sensor size difference is really marginal. You still have the 64mpx sensor on the S21 to do high res shots

@@nixxxon18 binning is not about having details but combining 9 different shooting exposures to create the brightest shot that has a little more detail than non binned or regular non quadbayer sensors. it has its strenghts and weaknesses.

Very good comparison 👍 I'm glad I bought the Galaxy S21+ 3 months ago. The difference with the S22 is not huge. So I saved my money. I know everyone has their own opinion. @@historyofscience9962 i have since May this year the Galaxy S23 Plus. But besides this device is really fantastic,the S21+ is still a premium amazing phone. In fact you can buy a S21+ for around 300$. Wich is a very good deal 👍

i have the s22. coming from the almost 3.5 yrs old huawei mate 20 with an old 4000mah battery, the s22 was a massive downgrade in battery life. i get 4-5 hrs of screen on time: on wifi 90% of the time, 4g the rest (off 5g), 60hz, power saving mode on all the time. the huawei mate 20 seems to last twice as long and i never had to turn off features or go on permanent power saving mode. Thats right, i bought a flagship and dropped all the settings to a mid range phone and STILL get bad battery life. basically paying for the cameras which are good. besides the atrocious battery life, the phone is good.

no one likes pictures to crop to 300% to see the little details. Everyone paints pictures and sees the difference only in what the eye notices. It can be seen here that the S22 is not superior at all on the contrary. The only advantage is 3x optical zoom .... everything else is on the S21 side

I put my mother S21 phone side-by-side with my S22 plus and not only is her video more stable but the resolution is significantly better. And you can forget about that s22 Ultra it is absolutely terrible. Not only does it lag but the background is extremely blurry
