Hi there! can you save DNG files with camera Pro mode?

The snapdragon chip settled it for me over the A54😁

Watching from an A53 and when you mentioned both phones have a 120-hertz refresh rate I immediately turned off power saving...😂😂😂😂. Forgot I had it too...

using A73 for 4 months. it's great mobile great battery life 2 days easily. screen is good. cameras are good too not the best but for daily usage n low light photographs are nice

It didn't take me long to change my mind about getting the A54 when I finally held it in person today. The fat border around the screen display area is really the worst I ever seen for an April 2023 new release mid-range phone. 82.9% screen to body ratio is horrendous! I decided to get the A73 instead for 86.95% ratio.

You made the right decision. The Amoled+ display, sleeker form factor, snapdragon processor and the super responsive touch screen make a world of difference when compared to the a54 which feels laggy and cumbersome in your hand

Great choice! I have an s21 FE (which also uses Snapdragon) now due for an upgrade. The processor has never failed me in multi tasking and shreds through heavy loads.

My 2nd phone was a Samsung brand, then went for ViVo, then Xiaomi, then currently Realme. Suddenly, I had the desire to return to Samsung& planning to buy a Samsung as a daily driver. (I always carry 2 devices with me, 1 gaming & 1 as a daily driver=storage+battery+camera+optimized &stable software) so...should I buy the A73?

If you just need it for games, I think you should go for the a54 due to its battery. Chipset is not very different

@ell 🦩 A73 has couple of advantages: Main camera at 23mm vs 26mm for A54, video is also better on A73 as it has EIS, other than MP count everything is same including selfie camera.

And the Exynos 1380 chip can be better Optimazed with a software update....also you get an extra year of Software support,trust me i use both phones on a daily and the A54 is the better option as it has a newer and more upgraded spec sheet

The long forgotten A90 is the one to get. It's the A Series phone nobody really wanted because it was too similar to the Galaxy S20's at the time. The A90 still receives updates in 2023. It's 5g and still the ONLY "A" series phone with DEX capability. Only comes in black or white. Can be found used, unlocked in "excellent" condition between $350-$400 usd.

Gonna have to disagree with you. Android 13 is the last update it's getting and a few more security updates after that. The camera performance was bad at launch and it still is. The processor is made inferior by the snapdragon 778g or exynos1380 because of they're smaller and more efficient nmarchitecture(7nm vs 6 and5 nm). And the 855 has weaker graphics than these cpus (Adreno640vs642,Malig80) and it also needs more power than these two. Also factoring in the age of the device, the battery life is not good. And no. The A90 is nothing like the s20 line in terms of design and performance. I know this because I own an A90 and upgraded to A73. I've compared both in terms of camera, battery and gaming performance. The choice is obvious. The a90 is by no means a bad phone but in this age it's just too old to even consider recommending. You said it's going for around 350-400$. For that money you could get a much newer device that offers similar or better performance and is supported for many years to come Note: everything I pointed out in the first paragraph (excluding camera and battery life) is a small difference that won't be noticed in day to day use.

been using the galaxy a30s for 3 years and I'm quite satisfied. I bought it in early 2020's and it broke a month ago(1st week of March2023). I'm considering to get a new upgrade since it's been 4 years already since the release of the a30/a30s along with the a50/50s and other a series.

A54 is like a box, heavy.

How much of a difference will there be between a73's snapdragon chip and a54's Exynos chip? Is it better to buy a54 just because its the latest?

The A73 is a betterr phone and I really wanter to see an A74 maybe with the 7+ gen 2. Oh well. My honor work phone will stick around a bit longer.

The new exynos chip is nice but right now you can get a Motorola think phone for $300 and that has a 8 gen 1

I want my a 53 with more ram and snapdragon processor

I don't like the latest model of the Samsung A54. Fat border and small. I'd rather choose Samsung A73 because it' has better screen and wide screen. I mean a taller screen.

I hope they release an A54S 5g version with a snapdragon 8 series chipset or with the new snapdragon 7+ gen 2, the processor and the big bezels on the a54 rn is just rlly not ittt😭😭😭 and the i want a headphone jack and expandable storage with an sd card slot and i rlly hate using Bluetooth ear buds bc their so annoying and expensive too😔

If you want ALL those features you listed along with DEX support for less than $400 just grab the A90. IMO for the money it's still Samsungs best A Series phone. Heck, it even comes with a charging block.

Keep the A70. The a54 is basically the equivalent to my A53 5g. Since "supposedly" they canceled the a74 I only wish the a54 had a larger display.

Overall a54 have better camera

I got the A73, i want less bezels, better for gaming and i got the snapdragon all day instead of exynos. And i want a larger screen. But A54 has a slightly better camera and has more natural colors. But A73 got 108MP so...

Thanks for your review. Ive been using the galaxy a30s for 3 years and I'm quite satisfied with it given the price when I bought it. Sadly it doesn't charge anymore since the 1st week of last month(march2023). I'm considering to buy a new phone and the galaxy a73 5g caught my eyes first. I'm still on the verge of comparing it with vivo's new release which is the V27 5g since it also packs a good bang for the money. I still haven't decided which to choose yet since both have comparable strengths and weaknesses.

ngl the A73 looks miles better than the a54 up front, in the back and even the frame.. samsung what have you done this year ?

Don't do it. A53 is far better, infact A52s is is more value for money than any other A series phone with SD778g. If your budget is around 40k try going for s21fe.

@Siddharth Sahu a52s no longer I production, can't get it new. A73 and s21FE are like 200$ more than the a54 where I live. So the a54 is really good choice for me
