sampling using an exposure agar plate.
In this method, petri dishes containing the appropriate agar media are exposed to the air, allowing microorganisms to settle onto the surface of the agar media. Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) or blood agar is used for sampling bacteria. Malt Extract Agar (MEA) is often used for sampling fungi.
