Just so so so many, and it got so f*cking old...but its been a long time since Ive thought about it...and Ilafter being a combat medic, then going to nursing school and working as a nurse for 12yrs: next week I graduate medical school...after a 36 year long mission to become a doctor...i finally will be. Been depressed bc of this Covid 19 pandemic Lost my job, been at home alone for 3 months, got no one to come home to bc i always been alone since both my parents died years ago, had to move out from my last rent house to find a cheaper one so i could live on. I know this is long but I need help from others interpreting what someone I met online over a year ago is thinking/feeling. He says I just don't know how he really feels. He requested i play this song as he watched me on my live....I boo hoo cried. He's a Leo, doesn't really explain much says he just has to do what he has to do. I left him a message on his voicemail saying I will just back off and then i realized u was just emotional about not being able able have him but I didn't want to let him go. I texted him I was sorry and told him I can't help being this way bc I love him so much and just want to be near him but i was willing to be patient but don't want my heart broken if it's really just about another woman.. can someone explain what he's trying to say? Just a little background-- he has a lot going on and right now we can't be together he says, he lives a different lifestyle he doesn't want me in. He won't even let me come see him bc he says he gotta hustle... and not in the position to date. But he he's told me he loves me and that God works in mysterious ways.We live 3.5 hours away from each other BTW. I'm Sag and my heart is so big...I don't know how to stop loving people and I'm not good at understanding what they really feel by words. The original of this song is powerful enough, however Sam Smith’s vocals are poignant, impressive and give a new life to this classic. Happy to have a newer version of one of my favourite songs to listen to.

I really like how Sam gives a song a new feeling, like everytime they sing their own version of a song I feel like they bring us back at some point of their life where this song relates to. I feel this song resonates Sam's care to their lover, and their love whatever happens. Its just different when they cover songs, it just hits straight to your heart like bam! 💔

I know this is long but I need help from others interpreting what someone I met online over a year ago is thinking/feeling. He says I just don't know how he really feels. He requested i play this song as he watched me on my live....I boo hoo cried. We stayed up hours with him just requesting music and watching me; Sam Smith-fix you, Bruno Mars- when I was your man, Ruff Endz - someone to love, Mary J Blige- Give me You and a few others. He's a Leo, doesn't really explain much says he just has to do what he has to do. I left him a message on his voicemail saying I will just back off and then i realized u was just emotional about not being able able have him but I didn't want to let him go. I texted him I was sorry and told him I can't help being this way bc I love him so much and just want to be near him but i was willing to be patient but don't want my heart broken if it's really just about another woman.. can someone explain what he's trying to say? Just a little background-- he has a lot going on and right now we can't be together he says, he lives a different lifestyle he doesn't want me in. He won't even let me come see him bc he says he gotta hustle... and not in the position to date. But he he's told me he loves me and that God works in mysterious ways.We live 3.5 hours away from each other BTW. I'm Sag and my heart is so big...I don't know how to stop loving people and I'm not good at understanding what they really feel by words. So just want to know if anyone else understands what this means. Should I hold on, let go, what is it he's wanting me to do?

This voice is one of the most sublime pleasures ever produced. I just wish his work would showcase his voice more (like this) and less production hiding it.

Exactly what I thought

My mum had a heart attack a few days ago, my dad was seriously ill, and I've looked after my entire family while trying to keep up with school work in isolation as my GCSEs are next year. This song for a brief 3 minutes made me forget all that and be in a totally different place. I've loved Sam since the very beginning and would love to one day see him in concert or maybe meet him if the stars align. He is my inspiration and my release and I adore him ❤️

@@greg_216 I didn't listen to it in THAT context. I listened to (and read) the lyrics. My exhusband had suicidal and homicidal ideations. I tried to get him the help he needed. He chose to not take his medication or go for therapy. Music affects everyone differently. You say it's about helping a grieving wife. I hear a different story. Either way, it's a beautiful song and resonates with many. Thank you, Sam Smith, for gifting us your voice. 🧡

I think every person at some point in life feels this song. I lost my BIL at the age of 36 due to alcoholism. He was a war time veteran. Hubby and I tried and tried to fix him for 5 years but then he got in the bottom of the bottle and couldn't get out. He started binge drinking, it killed him. My father was a alki also. When I was about 7 she left him and left me with him. I remember her leaving out the door, the vintage green suitcase and beehive hair. She turned to him and said now see how alcohol is tearing this family apart. She came back 5 days later. The reason she left me is because he had no clue how to raise a kid. His profession was long hours but killer bank. I remember him going through w/D's, he went cold turkey. He too almost died. Alcohol in moderation is ok but when there's a trigger behind it is when the addict, enabler and everyone around them HAVE to change. Hubby's family is tore up, no one speaks anymore.

Just had my heart crushed and this was her Favorite Singer.....now I'm stuck listening to him while thinkin of her. I miss her so much. Noone else will ever make me feel whole like her 😪😪😪😪
